If you want a less OP solution then you can consider an RFTools shield which has been made Wither proof starting with 2.42 (Infinity 1.1.0). Less impressive and OP compared to the draconic evolution solution but can be fun too :-)

I don't have this issue. Can you show a screenshot of this? Also are the EIO machines configured right? Perhaps you disabled one side of them by accident.

Ok, I have been trying very hard to reproduce this myself. I made a custom infinity server. Create a few worlds with only that biome in it. Nothing. I couldn't get it to crash. I did this with Infinity 1.1.0. Are there other people who get similar crashes? Perhaps the biome is just coincidence...

I'm gathering some help with this. Mostly finding people who can also reproduce this so we can find the pattern and from that hopefully a solution.

That's a strange looking biome. What is it called and from what mod is it? You can use F3 to see the name of the biome. And those 2 locations are not in an RFTools dimension? Is an RFTools dimension chunloaded perhaps?

Well a comparator gives a redstone signal when one side gets a signal above a level set to one of the other sides. ProjectRed also has modded comparators if you prefer those.

I'm assuming this is in an RFTools dimension? Can you give me the information about that dimension? i.e. with the dimension tab in hand. Shift-right click and give me what it tells you.

I was planning on having it only affect players for now (similar to the vanilla beacon system).

It's going to be a modular system for giving the player buffs like regeneration, flight, speed, night vision, ... Also prevent mob spawning (like the magnum torch). Every extra module will eat more power of course. Radius of effect will be configurable.
