Yeah, set it to false. And yeah, mine still spins but without the fps drop. I think it is switched to a less detailed animation though. I changed the configs for bothe client and server btw, not sure if that makes a difference.

I fixed this btw by disabling the animation from the gregtech config file, it has its own option there. After that the Centrifuge ran with no performance drop.

Maybe your hardware is good enough that it doesn't need optifine then and so would get little benefit from installing it.

Eino, you didn't mention anything about your hardware but I suspect if you aren't getting any performance boost then you don't have the settings correctly configured.

I think a super simplified solution would be to let you transmute down but not up so high value items can make lots of lower value items, but not the other way around.

Based on the little info I know, I don't see the point of the EMC pipes yet. Buildcraft pipes and Redpower tubes have been transferring EMC for ages. Still, I'm very interest to see what happens in the mod. I'm running a Tekkit server again now with most of EE disabled - no condensors...

Well sure, but lets not forget that your character can carry 36 x 64 cubic meters of cobble in his pockets, whilst wearing a full suit of Iron armour. Lets not talk about Minecraft realism.

Apologies, we're going back to Tekkit for now. FTB is great but there's far more lag and few plugins. I'd rather have an open Tekkit server than a white listed FTB.

From what I read, haven't tested it myself, if you have a diamond pipe attached to the chest/machine it will send the item into it until it is full, then the item will find an alternate path rather than overflowing. Kinda like the old advanced insertion pipes. In your image, replace that...
