hello!
Sorry because you probably get these questions a lot, but I want to start a Minecraft server for me and my 10-15ish friends to play on :D All I need is a good host. I've been looking at Creeperhost and stuff and they all seem a bit expensive for the hardware on the server I'm getting.

I saw some people on a few posts recommending a dedicated server hosting solution such as OVH (https://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/). They aren't made specifically for minecraft, but they offer better hardware for a better price. My question is, for a server with about 15ish people all living in different parts of the map, each with maybe 1 or 2 chunk loaders on machines and stuff, which would be best for me? getting a package from Creeperhost or something from OVH or some alternative?

My second question is, if I got a dedicated server from OVH, how would I go about setting it up to be a Minecraft FTB Ultimate server on it? Thanks in advance guys :D

this topic can be closed :D I ended up getting a hosting service from minecrafted.net. I'm really happy with the prices and I read nothing but good reviews from them. I purchased my server and they had it online for me within minutes. Plus it's the cheapest host I've seen out of all of them.

I'd like to warn people against minecrafted.net. Their website says you can "Run any JAR!" but running FTB you will encounter regular PermGen space out of memory errors and PermGen space is not something that can be altered, even by putting in a support ticket.

So running FTB means regular crashes. FTB with plugins, that means crashing as soon as the server is started. Don't waste your money on it.
