    Unexpected Tesseract Limits with Steam

In addition to the pic above, I meant adding another connection to the top of each tesseracts sitting on the boilers. So that would give 20 face connections from the four tesseracts sitting on the boilers. Then I just need the one fully surrounded tesseract in the center to get the other six...

    Unexpected Tesseract Limits with Steam

Thanks for the heads up on that thread. Some designs there got me thinking ... I tend to build in a group of four 36HP boilers. So with a fully liquiduct-surrounded tesseract per boiler, and a fifth tesseract in the center, I should be able to send all the steam, while still being space and...

    Unexpected Tesseract Limits with Steam

Ah, so I was right about the limits I was seeing, but it's with the liquiduct output, not the tesseract input per face. That means only 600 mB/t if you totally wrap a tesseract. Dang. I guess the two tesseract setup in my third picture above is probably the most compact setup, unless someone...

    Unexpected Tesseract Limits with Steam

I was beginning to setup 36HP boilers in my new Unleashed world last night and was seeing what looked like input limits with Tesseracts I had not seen before. It could be my setup, but I had used this setup extensively in my Ultimate world. I am guessing something has changed in the 1.5.x...

Melee turtle won't finish the job

Add a MFR conveyor belt pushing the mobs into the melee turtle.

Exploiting Minium stone For unlimited Power

I've never understood the need to use an "exploit" in a game that has creative mode a button press away. It's your game. Play it how you like.

Can I use IC2 Power sources to power machines from Forestry?

It also depends on which FTB pack you are playing. If you are playing Ultimate, you have access to the Power Converters mod, and can convert between IC/BC/UE/Steam as needed.

My FTB server won't let me make a chunk loader.

I'm not sure ChickenChunks is causing the "leaking worlds in memory", as much as it is detecting and reporting the problem of other mods retaining references to worlds in an improper way.

    AE ate my diamonds :(

You said you were dropping things into an ender pouch to move bases. Was the AE system properly and completely chunk loaded? Is the AE system split across chunk boundaries? I don't think people want to always assume user error. But if AE was bug ridden, there would be more and more reports...

Here is a program I wrote. Hopefully it is easy enough to follow if you want to make some changes. Let me know if you have any problems with it. It's been running unattended for several weeks for me on a server now. http://pastebin.com/MENa0JEg

[POLL]BC Pipes VS RP Tubes VS AE

I would say my AE system is medium sized so far. It eats about 45 AE energy "units" per tick, which is about 8-10 MJ/t. Once you've got your first boiler up and running, the energy cost is negligible. It's easy to start small and just need a couple of MJ/t, or even just power it up as needed.

[POLL]BC Pipes VS RP Tubes VS AE

Not even close. I spend time daily tuning my AE system. All my drives are preformatted, with an overflow chest. I monitor the chest to see what needs to be added to my drives. Check on the drive to make sure none are getting too full. If so, split the items up or upgrade the drive or export...

[POLL]BC Pipes VS RP Tubes VS AE

AE all the way. Eliminates any need for a sorting system. Store it in AE, and export as needed. I have not had any issues using export buses, import buses or interfaces to handling my automated item processing, from auto-pulverizing and smelting ores, to keeping a fermenter fully stocked for...

    Tropical bees not working

Bees can mutate. This one has and it wants flowers. Your Beealyzer says so. :) Remember, a big part of working with bees is to customize their traits, to make them more production, longer or shorter lived, working at night or in the rain. It's all a big breeding/mutation game. Plop some...

MJ equivalent of EU Information Panel?

Yes, you can use the same displays as the nuclear control systems. Use an Energy Sensor Kit to right click on the Redstone Energy Cell. That will give you the card from the Kit. Put that card into a Nuclear Information Reader. I use a computer to read from the Nuclear Information Reader to...

    32x [32x] JohnSmith Technician's Remix

Choosing style over usability only hurts the pack. Try reading any machine GUI at night in a rainstorm and tell me this is the best approach. I love the JS pack and tolerate this issue. But if a third party fix for the GUIs comes along, I'll be all over it. I may work on this myself as I...

Best lagfree sorting system? Pipes vs Tubes

I'm not sure AE energy usage is quite as bad as you are thinking. According to the AE wiki (http://ae-mod.info/Energy-Usage-Information) the main Controller block uses 6 units of energy per tick (1 unit = 1/2 EU or 1/5 MJ). With 20 ticks per second, this is 120 units used at idle per second...

Best lagfree sorting system? Pipes vs Tubes

I also decided to go AE for my new Ultimate world. I do not miss my three story barrel storage room. I even have it tied into Deep Storage Units from MFR for mass storage of cobble and such (similar to GregTech's Quantum Chests). No items flowing through any pipes, just data cables, even for...

    32x [32x] JohnSmith Technician's Remix

First, I *love* this texture pack. Thanks to all who have worked on it. But to add to what Vaygrim said, the machine GUI's are all but impossible to read at times, especially at night or in a storm.
