Golems all the way.
cept if you want your pipes to work with a sorting system, it loses it's advantage of priceFor convienience, AE.
For price, BC.
For coolness, Golems.
For slightly less coolness, but better range, Railcraft.
For a compromise of all (convienience, price and coolness), RP.
Still a noob of sorts, is it possible to edit the poll?Add Railcraft and Golems to the poll.
Also, each has it's advantages and disadvantages in different circumstances. No one method is the best at everything you could possibly want it for.
I believe so... don't know on these forums though. Try "edit post" or "edit thread" ?Still a noob of sorts, is it possible to edit the poll?
Nope, edit thread allows me to edit the name and edit post allows me to edit my first post.I believe so... don't know on these forums though. Try "edit post" or "edit thread" ?
I don't mind BC. For simplistic sorting systems, it's quite nice. I've got it on my tree farm. Filters apples into squeezer, and mulch to the 2 fermenters (one water, one apple juice). Puts the saplings into the fermenters, then barrels. Wood is barreled, then the overflow cooked to charcoal and barreled. the overflow from all is voided, to prevent it littering the ground. It makes quite a nice system, and I like the fact that it doesn't backstuff and prevent things from happening. If there's a deficiency, it keeps going until it's running at peak again.cept if you want your pipes to work with a sorting system, it loses it's advantage of price
for bees: BC
^theres the only place (imo) that it is the superior method
nah, best looking has to go to golemsFor automated processing, RP is my go-to mod. For "as needed" automatic processing (i.e. fertilizer for a fermenter) I like BC pipes w/ gates. For storage and on demand crafting, AE looks like the best (still building my system atm). Railcraft (in my opinion) is inferior if you want to get the most efficient system possible, however it easily wins the best looking and fun to build prizes.
Hmm, I've just thought of a way of doing cool looking, long range transport with golems.
1. Dig a 1 block wide trench from source to destination.
2. At intervals equal to the range of your golems, place chests, with markers cycling through at least 3 colours.
3. Set up golems to take from one chest and put into the next in line.
4. Cover with glass/viewer/warded glass, according to taste.
5. Marvel at the spectacularly slow, but incredibly cool looking way of getting items moved long distance.
I have yet to research most of the golem accessories, but I do eventually plan to have a crew of dapper gents in top hats do stuff for me. No clue what I'll use them for yet, but I'm sure I can find something.nah, best looking has to go to golems
