I feel smart now ^-^Make sure to wire up a lever to turn it off! No sense wasting power. ApiSciMorgs uses a lever next to a redstone energy cell on our server and it works like a charm. She turns out the lights before she leaves like a good, rational person.
I cannot stress this enough, though, make sure you don't waste energy when you're not using a particular aspect of your AE system. There are so many other things you could be doing with the used power. Whether it's as simple as a manuak kill switch for the entire system, or as complex as some crazy thing that automatically shuts off certain parts of your system depending on what's being used at the moment (and yes, I'm aware of how easily that can be done). I, personally, am leaning towards a hybrid system once I expand my AE system. Use automated checks to turn off simple things like sand -> glass -> glass viewers, and then manual switches to toggle larger parts of my system (like switching off the GT machine automation for one reason or another), controlled from a master room in my base that'll also control all the security (I already have a lockout system for my access doors half done, just need the control switches now). Once I get my lazy ass into gear, I'm going to do many great things.
