    I'm not having any fps issues but the 1.4.6 server took a performance hit. It's like a night and day difference between 1.4.5 and 1.4.6 in performance. No idea what they did but flickering blocks is quite common.

    You don't need any rubber for TE so that's a good thing. But yes, you need more gold for TE constructions. Only thing I really miss in 1.4.6 is the drill and crops from IC2. In the start diamonds can be quite annoying to find, you can get lucky and fine one within 10 minutes of digging down...

    Nether Ores

    Think I read somewhere that mojang was planning to add more ores(probably existing ones) to the nether to give people a reason to even be there. Right now, it just isn't worth the trouble. Even if you had nether ores, it was just horrible.

    The trees can cause insane fps drops, especially if you have a low end computer. I can't play with the mod due to some of the trees. They're just way too big and often far too many.

    Don't bother using the miner... it's just horrible in every way. Quarries or mining turtles is the way to go. Just run a built in script, download one or make it yourself for the turtle and you can have it do ANYTHING. It's so op I don't even know where to begin.
