You maybe have change the NEI into a specific modpack, not sure but it sounds like it.

Delete ftblaunch folder, you find it when you search after %appdata%. Reinstall from scratch. If that doesn't work i have no clue.

Im running on 32bit windows and java, getting same issue. Abit annoying but i just restart the game and everything is fine. No idea if this only works on DW20 tho, but it should works on the Horizons also.

Search for %appdata% and a map will pop up. In that map you will find .minecraft and loads of other maps, but theres one called ftblauncher. Delete that map and close the window. Go to FTB's site and download the launcher and put it in a new map on the desktop. Start FTB launcher and everything...

Like topic says, when we meet at mob from Ars magica the cpu usage goes up to 100% and the server starts lagg. But when the mob is far away or dead the lagg dissapears. We have now disabled the mod and everything runs fine. Someone else have same issue?

Could be the modpack that have problems, or you have to clean your computer from crap. A friend have massive lag with FTB before, but i told him to clean the drive and search for virus. And that worked for him.

It seems like you are using 32bit windows, wich is one of the problems atm. The modpack req 1,5gb ram to start up and people with 32bit cannot raise the amount of ram on the launcher. So i think we have to wait untill they fixed the mapwriting problem.
