I'll quote what I said to Captainnana: Think about it. Technic releases a beta build of their brand new launcher. A few days later, FTB announces that they've started work on a new launcher. Excuse me if I'm jumping to conclusions, but doesn't that seem a little suspicious?

Cnsidering Mojang's ToS prohibit her from getting anything more than "a pat on the back", I'm gonna say no.
