Does anyone know how to make minecraft startup faster? in-game, I get enough frames, but it takes forever to even get the main menu. Is there anything I can do to speed the loading of minecraft?

(put Minecraft's RAM up to 4GB, MaxPermGen or whatever it's called is 128. I have 6GB of RAM total)

Nope. It will take more time, the more mods you have :P

In the Direwolf20 1.7 pack, are there are items added into the game by a mod that would remove void fog if had in inventory?

Ok, so I managed to get 1 bucket of pink slime (for those who saw my previous posts on this thread) and spawned a slime, used the embiggering syringe and got myself 2 pink slime balls. I thought I could place the pink slime balls to spawn new pink slimes, but somehow that's not working... Am I doing something wrong or have I messed up big time?

You can only place slime bucket to get slimes. Slime balls are JUST for crafting :P

Oh god... can I somehow melt down the slimeballs into liquid slime? Or must I go back to killing things for more slime?
You'll have to go back to killing things. Once you get enough of the pink slime liquid to spawn another pink slime mob, I recommend trapping it in a Safari Net, so you can put it in an Auto-Spawner later. Mob essence is probably easier to get than pink slime (unless you're living off liquid meat), so that should at least make things a little easier.

People live off of liquid meat? TIL

I got a second bucket of slime *spawn/growth process here* and thought I could use a golden lasso to catch one... NOPE... all dead now... thankfully two buckets got me 4 pink slime which is what I need for 1 MFR digging-laser-drill set-up. So I'm ok for now. (I should probably say that I was lucky to have found a rainbow forest where animals spawn EVERYWHERE).

Yeaaah, Golden Lassos are "Peaceful" capture devices. If you want to capture hostile mobs, you need to use a safari net, which is either single use, or requires harder-to-get materials like ghast tears and enderpearls.

Is someone willing to put together a mod pack for my will be greatly appreciate
What is it that is stopping you making it yourself? It's binnies mod right?
Just use the latest version of Buildcraft, Railcraft, Logistics Pipes, any other BC "add-on"... apart from Forestry, use version 3.1.14 (I think it is) and then the latest version of Binnie's Mod, and you'll be fine :)

Do some checks quickly:
Buildcraft 6.20?
binnie's mods 2.0 dev 5?
forestry 3.1.1.4?
(if using) Gendustry 1.4.2.46?
logistics pipes 0.8.2.83?
Railcraft 9.4.0.0?
Forge x.x.x.1230? (don't get higher,LogPipes seems to break when you go above the forge version it was build it)

MCEdit works by using block IDs. Which are all static for vanilla blocks, however modded block IDs change between world. So in world 1 ID 425 may be a block of steel, but in world 2 it could be a manasteel block

Actually, according to one of the Mojang developers during 1.7.x development, the Vanilla blocks are not static... They just have the good fortune of being loaded before any mods are and having their IDs occupy the beginning of the list. From there mod loading order determines block ID assignment. The goal of the current series of updates is to "modularize" the entire game so that any segment can be replaced by resource packs.

If you're running Direwolf20 the recommended Java settings are:

Min. Ram = 2GB
Max. Ram = 4GB
Permgen = 256MB

I'm not sure but I think these are the defaults for 1.8 Java... At least I haven't had to make changes.
