Regardless it is still not working. After 20mins the launcher opens but when i go to download the YogCraft modpack it crashes.

Just do it. It is entirely likely that you not completing the troubleshooting guide is the reason you're still experiencing this issue. If you still have issues connecting after completing the guide, then you have a substantial claim to report. Otherwise, it's a useless contribution since you aren't using the correct set-up in the first place.

I did complete it. My java is updated to version 45. After 10mins my launcher shows up. When I go to update the mod packs, the downloader crashes. I had updated my java as I posted and didnt think to change the post. Apologies.

-I've used both my ISP's DNS servers and the public DNS available from Google.
-This is a fresh install of FTB, with the previous lost when I reformatted the PC recently.
-Usually my pings all timeout, so I was surprised when the above did reach 184.105.253.2
-Running in Windows 7 compatibility mode

I am new to Feed the Beast and really want to try it out since I am bored of Tekkit Classic servers (90% of Tekkit Servers). Though I can't seem to get the launcher to work. I have tried the .exe and .jar and done multiple fresh installs of Java and the launcher following the troubleshooting guide and nothing seems to work.​
First Error: "For input string: "¬í"​
2/3 Error: "Connection timed out: connect: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect"​
"Unhandled exception in Thread[Thread-1,5,main]: java.lang.NullPointerException"​
4/5 Error: "Connection timed out: connect: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect "​
"Unhandled exception in Thread[AWT-EventQueue-0,6,main]: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1"​
6 Error: "Completely unable to download the modpack file - check your connection: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect"​
Fresh Java and FTB install twice. It is "installed" in a folder on desktop named "FTB" with nothing else in it. No firewall running when attempting to run program. Router and Windows Firewalls both disabled. ​
Everything else I use for Minecraft works fine. Tekkit Launcher and Normal Minecraft.​


Magically my shit works today. I didn't change anything.

I'm getting the "error downloading modpack" thing whenever I try to download any modpack from the launcher, here are all the things requested and I hope you guys can offer some advice to help me get this working, thanks in advance.

I get this error trying to connect to a server:
