Actually, about 3.5GB is what this pack needs and if your system only has 4GB even setting it at 3GB may mean it is running out of memory during loading and your system is going to try to reserve part of your memory to keep itself running so you may not even be able to allocate 3GB without crashing still
Ok, thanks! I'll try that anyway.

EDIT: It worked! Seems the amount of RAM really made the difference here. Should've read the FAQ on the Github earlier, mentions pretty much exactly my issue.

Even though my computer is pretty bad, the lag isn't too terrible. Only thing to watch out for are backups; they cause long freezes. I think I'll turn those off later.

Hey, @GreatOrator, in the change log for LOTR Beta 30, it says this: "* Changed the IDs of LOTR blocks and items to fix the game log being spammed with "illegal prefix"." I downloaded it and tried adding it to my game in the hopes it would prevent the Rohirric crafting table bug, but it just made me crash. Have you found a fix yet? I just started this pack and I'm loving it, but I don't want to leave the pre-generated area because I don't want tables everywhere! Also, you have some biome ID conflicts going on with Ars Magica and a few of the BOP Biomes. Thanks for a great modpack. Looking forward to getting deeper into it.

Yeah, I tested as well which is why I did not push an update with the latest version of lotr. The table issue SEEMS to be relegated to the overworld so I would suggest building out in or near hobbiton, the side benefit is there will be no mob spawns :D

I will take a look at the biomeID conflicts but any changes to that could potentially cause issues itself.

Glad you are enjoying the pack and wait until TCIII is released :D

Who is the Markus npc? I should know who that is but I've forgot. Can someone please remind me? And please tell me where they are?

The Markus NPC? I do not remember adding that one (though with so many NPC's created it is easy to forget) but most NPC's added outside of the normal use ones are either in dragonburg in the town hall or at wyvernhaven at the docks.

I'm in the big blood magic quest line and I'm at the quest called Markus and I'm supposed to hand it in with Markus and I can't figure out who that is

Ahhhh, I can get the answer for you but will be later today as I don't have access to everything at work. Maybe @teagan75 will stop by and provide insight as it was her quest line.

Oh btw bug report I'm having a bug where whenever I click on the quests tap in my inventory it puts me on the armor tab.

Yup, also a long known bug unfortunately, best to use the "L" key to open quests, it's the way the tabs are handled in minecraft and would take tinkers, customNPC's and a couple other mods to cooperate (which they declined to do so), but thank you for taking the time to report :D

Ok also I've been having another bug where sometimes I can't interact with an npc. Like looking at them walia says I'm looking at the block behind them.

The middle earth map has the towns in the shire in the wrong place but it has the roads right

Like I'll go to where on the map it says hobbiton is and there'd be nothing there
