Turns out there is no Tekkit entry on the portal of Internet cultural phenomenon experts. I am dissapoint.
Yeah it would be a shame if we got a bunch of questions that could be answered by looking at the respective mod's wiki or release thread or spending 2 seconds in creative.

my point was ppl wont bother to search for that and not posting sorce and claiming stuff makes you look like a bad person. Some ppl dont like greg for making the mod some dont like that its in mindcrack pack and complain (if some1 that does that and is reading this use the goddamn configs) and IF it was added and then he put the code in ppl that dont like sengir and call him an asshole for adding the code to forestry wont like greg too and since there is more reason not to like greg he may get more hate then sengir
And his code to do that is amusingly easy to foil. You can do it without even altering the code to the technic launcher if you know what you're doing.
IIRC cj never knew his mod was being used in tekkit, he was never informed, and so he asked for it to be removed.
In the olden days, I believe the Technic team went with "use it unless we're specifically asked not to, and silence means yes it's fine". In fairness in most mod communities this would actually be true but the Minecraft community is... ... ..."special".

That may be a little harsh, but there is a large and irritatingly vocal section of the community that is prepubescent.

We are moving away from what the main point. Yogscast playing FTB. Now assuming that the Rythian that posted on reddit is the real deal then things will slowly be shifting in their series. I don't think much more will come out of it.
I can at least sympathise with the modders' argument, as someone who has been letting mod ideas percolate in my brain for about a year now, but if they're not avoiding the dramafest entirely they're going the wrong way about addressing it every single time.
I think they (and we!) all forget that in the end, we're here because we like Minecraft, and so long as we make/use Minecraft and its mods, we are contributing to Mojang's community first and foremost before anything else becomes relevant. If this was better understood on all sides I think we'd have much less of a problem here.
Edit: Did they explicitly say they're going to try and keep their Tekkit map? They might have a problem there; that went badly when I tried it. I expect them to start fresh.

A little from column A, and a little from column B. Some of the modders, and some of their... fanatics.
I'll watch Sips and Sjin tell jokes. What game or mod thereof they're playing is largely incidental, besides the possibility of us getting an influx of cribmidgets.
This is exactly what the Yogscast are; entertainers, not informers. If you want to know HOW to play these mods, then go watch DW20. If you want to see someone playing them and just messing around, watch the Yogscast.
