Its actually a Flying Mountains Biome from Highlands, but yes the water is natural.
My mistake, looks like BoP and Highlands share quite a few similar biomes.

Walking is so pedestrian. Flying is new walking.Its a little hard to get to your stuff if there is nothing below your feet.

I've been playing modded (and modern) MC about a month now, using Unleashed in single player mode. I found a 15 block diameter giant sequoia on my 5th world and have been living termite style ever since. You could say that my home blends in with the scenery, other than towering over it, and the fact that starting at 5 blocks up there are 3x3 bay windows on all four sides, with 2 more sets at 9 and 13 blocks high (levels 2,3 and 4).
As near as I can tell the tree is close to 200 blocks high from ground level so I should have plenty of room (and wood for construction). I'm currently learning about Tinker's construct and am thinking about starting another world to play with IC2. I'll probably try to find a tree to live in there as well.
[Edit] I just saw the few posts that beat mine since the last one I read.
All I can say is that chopping wood, in the proper fashion, is the new levitation
was that natural world gen? No mods added Unleashed?
I have 2 of those near my base.. about 40m apart. dunno why I didn't think of them.
//-snip-//
I don't know if the trees appear because BoP is active, but iirc a couple of the worlds I generated were set to default and not specifically to BoP on the creation screen. I have only found them in "Plains" biomes. I have yet to see them elsewhere.
The bark can be crafted into a door in the usual way... I get the extra 4 blocks needed by clearing a second level and making a 1 block window on each of the 4 sides (when I get glass these eventually become bay windows). The door IDs as a "Secret door" and I have yet to have a mob attack one.
you lucky child of a lucky star... 2 close together? damn. how on earth did you manage not to build in/on them?
