I don't know why the yogscast couldn't have gone with an already existing pack like direwolf or ultimate. Or why they couldn't at least add some other unique mods like UE to make it interestingreally though, the only way I could see a point to Yogcraft is if they replaced every sound file with Simon's 7 year old screams. I guess that's the only reason people can tolerate that show, right? people are into that I guess.View attachment 3363
Because youtube makes you important and you need something that goes along with your name, right?I don't know why the yogscast couldn't have gone with an already existing pack like direwolf or ultimate. Or why they couldn't at least add some other unique mods like UE to make it interesting
Yeah, one thing I liked about tekkit was unity, when someone was playing tekkit you knew the exact set of mods they were playing and could easily play along with them, with FTB there are so many pointless packs that are almost identical or just useless.Because youtube makes you important and you need something that goes along with your name, right?
I've also heard, 'well it lets people play with the same mods as the series'... No. Go play FTB lite or something without adding in another pack. Unless you plan on releasing the world in the launcher, don't use that argument. .-.
maybe for someone who has played crap tons of IC2, but for someone starting out? IC2 is pretty neat.I wouldn't recommend removing GT. Just disable the tough recipes. If you remove GT then you might as well remove IC2. IC2 is pretty bland without GT.
What I more or less meant by bland was you would run out of content pretty quickly.maybe for someone who has played crap tons of IC2, but for someone starting out? IC2 is pretty neat.
Uh... you still do know the mods they are using. It is just that they can choose the pack tailored most to their taste.Yeah, one thing I liked about tekkit was unity, when someone was playing tekkit you knew the exact set of mods they were playing and could easily play along with them, with FTB there are so many pointless packs that are almost identical or just useless.
I don't watch the yogs so can't really confirm this... but aren't they using Flans? And that isn't in the yogcraft pack.Uh... you still do know the mods they are using. It is just that they can choose the pack tailored most to their taste.
Yes, they are using Flan's. Either, they have not got around to updating their pack yet, or, they don't have permission to distribute it. You can't say that no one ever added their own mods to Tekkit anyway.I don't watch the yogs so can't really confirm this... but aren't they using Flans? And that isn't in the yogcraft pack.
oh no I'm not saying because of that.. more along the lines of the "We need our own pack so that our fans can play the same mods as us" kinda reasoning.Yes, they are using Flan's. Either, they have not got around to updating their pack yet, or, they don't have permission to distribute it. You can't say that no one ever added their own mods to Tekkit anyway.
Actually, someone starting fresh with IC2 would have a much easier time swallowing the changes Greg introduces.maybe for someone who has played crap tons of IC2, but for someone starting out? IC2 is pretty neat.
I don't agree. It's very easy to get confused about the flashy recipe changes so a new player might think, rather intelligently, oh lets look at the wiki... to which they'd be extremely confused by the result.Actually, someone starting fresh with IC2 would have a much easier time swallowing the changes Greg introduces.
Fact: you have no idea are in fact talking out of your arse.Fact: If you never played FTB before and you play Ultimate you doesnt have any problem with Gregtech, you would really love the mod, if you played something like Tekkit before you would hate it......
(Unless you deside that the mod author is totally right and IC2 is way to OP........)
Funny story, I've been playing Better Than Wolves before FTB(only touched IC once before that), and I haven't found the flashy recipes confusing in the least. If a bit annoying as they flashed way too fast back then.I don't agree. Me to ( see the last line)I played both Tekkit and FTB sans GT and I don't hate (I'm using it now in fact). So your facts are incorrect
