depends on how much work that formatting will be. if it's a very complicated format, I doubt many people will use it, but if it's a very simple format like the one I've been using, I think people won't have a problem with using that one

though it'd require a few safety checks, to prevent people from advertising their own things, or people posting the same mod update and thus getting double updates

then it wouldn't be difficult for anyone as there is a button for it and you can just paste text within it. I don't see many people using the feature at all even when using it correctly.

you may want to include a line for a link aswell, otherwise people will still have to look themselves for the update...

Botania has been updated to 1.7.2:

Beta 17
  • Updated the mod to 1.7.2
  • Added Floral Fertilizer.
  • Changed some lexicon entries.
  • Fixed the Pestle and Mortar leaving the crafting table when used.
  • Removed the ability to use Bone Meal to get Botania flowers.
  • Renamed Floral Dye to Floral Powder.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned or noticed, but BuildCraft is going huge as TF2 competitive players would call it. It seems Spacetoad coming back has pulled the whole project out of maintenance mode. The Builder is mostly working again and the next major release will see its comeback along with the accompanying Architect Table and Blueprints. Of interest to players that don't use popular mods like Thermal Expansion with its Autonomous Activator and Terrain Smasher is the fact that the Stripes Pipe is also back! It both sucks blocks out of the world and places them. I have seen them used in the past for some awesome farms.

today (and the rest of the week) you can post any april fools jokes that were added in mods by mod developers. for one I know gregtech added 1 changes all the mod's textures into... well.... trollolollloooollolllol

People can do whatever with the code. It will remain on Github.

AlgorithmX2 just released a new mod called Rotatable Blocks and will be taking time off AE2 for a while now to focus RB until 1.8. With RB you can use any BC Compatible wrench from any mod to rotate any blocks however you wish.

Perhaps the single greatest brilliance behind RB is that it revolutionizes minecraft with out adding a single block or item. This mean that there is no need for bug reports! Algo can basicly forward any bugs straight to @LexManos . Lex will love it! :)

I also released a spotlight on the mod this morning when he finally went public with it.
