If you mine like I do, then you've run into this problem before too. Barrels and Barrels of Cobble. If i could eat cobblestone i would have food for several lifetimes right now.

What do you do with it?

1) Pulverize into sand and cover the sky in glass
2) Grind into Gravel and fill the seas
3) Melt into lava (not as efficient as nether stones) and burn the land
4) Convert into scrap and have a mountain of useless wooden tools

Anything else you can do with cobble?

we had 15 million cobbles (equal to 23 interbarrels) in our AE System. We simply started to scrap
them and then open the scrapboxes with scrapinators.
With 40 Recyclers we had -20 Cobbles/secound (recylcers all with 8 upgrades). So after about one day all the cobble was gone.

If we want to have some leftovers, we simply disable the recyclers for 1 minute.

Scrap it with IC2, then setup your systems to process the items, filtering out just the stuff you want, recycle the waste items.
Otherwise, void it all.

Feed it through a couple rock crushers. The first converts the cobble to gravel, and the second converts gravel to more useful bits (diamonds, gold) along with sand. scrap the sand. You get a couple chances at the junk item lotto.[DOUBLEPOST=1373639795][/DOUBLEPOST]If you are fairly well established with energy, convert it to lava in a magma crucible, then centrifuge it for tin, copper, and electrum, or turn it into obsidian, pulverize, and electrolize it for iron.

Edit - Take the wooden tools into a sawmill and convert into wooden planks and sawdust.

Place them on an extra storage disk, which I carry back to the quarry hole together with a Filler, which uses it to close the ugly hole. Add a layer of dirt, plant some saplings and soon no memory of the horrible wound in the earth shall remain.

At -20 cobble per second it would take 8 days. Something doesnt add up. Did you mean -200?

I use a carpenter to put them into crates, which hold 9 cobble each. Thus 1 stack of 64 cobble crates holds 9x64 cobble, and a barrel can hold 9 times as much. For what I'm going to do with all the cobble I'll obtain? your guess is as good as mine.

On the server I play on, we have Underground Biomes installed so I have several types of cobblestone to manage. For vanilla cobble, I actually use the igneous extruder to generate it and it goes into a powered furnace and then into a dsu.

Since there are several other types of cobblestone to manage I have ME block storage cells for each type in my AE network.

I might start doing this.

To add, if I am storing all my cobble in a DSU, I can just preformat a large disk and send cobble into it directly from the system using the i/o machine? I had room for 12 DSU's to contain any materials I knew would continuously collect. I also have 6 disk drives but w/e...

I have a Deep Storage Unit that stores all my cobble. I use 2 level emitters connected to an import and an export buss attached to the DSU. The import emitter makes sure I have at least 512 cobble in my AE system at all times. The export emitter makes sure I do not have more that 1024 in my AE system at any time. I then have another exporter set to keep a ender chest full of cobble to use for the filler work that Omicron described above. I have the same setup for my dirt.

Just means I can now ravage the landscape instead of the sea bed. Though the sea bed offers a good advantage. Lower y-coordinate means less crap. Copper I can get from centrifuging lava. Plus it kinda looks cool when there is literally no bottom to the oceans, heh.

But I was looking for ways to use up my cobble, since I decided on putting it all into DSU's. Though recycling it for the scrap lottery isn't a bad idea either. AE makes it so easy to set those up. What number can the level emitter go up to? Since I have unlimited space, even having a 100k cobble buffer wouldn't be a bad idea. I use stone bricks mainly for my base as well, though its not nearly the amount I mine up.[DOUBLEPOST=1373661685][/DOUBLEPOST]Also for AE, how many recipes do you guys have? Do you make one for just about every component (i.e. even machine blocks, etc.)

Turtle program that places it all in a void age, so far it has filled a little more than 100 chunks from sky to bedrock layer. Because I generate more cobble than the turtles can place, I void the rest and turn some into lava when I have extra power.
