Nice "Animal Farm" reference.Just as long as the animals don't get organised and start a communist uprising. We all (should) know those turn ugly pretty damn quick.

What I would dearly love to see would be for Eloraam to make a microblock API, so that anyone who had a mod that added blocks, such as the likes of XBL redrock, could hook the blocks they want into that API and BANG! Microblock redrock cobble!
People rarely use it because it is completely outclassed by the minium stone. If you are able to keep 9 slots of your inventory free while doing even the most rudimentary task then you're doing something wrong, son.
Has anyone found a good use for ThaumCraft's Arcane Ear? I really like the concept, and it's so different it feels like something that might have a niche use I haven't figured out yet.
On the subject of Microblocks, one of the things I've always wanted to see was some sort of "Microblock Deployer" tool. It would have GUI with a slot for a Handsaw, and an internal inventory to hold (full-sized) blocks. You'd use mode-change keys to switch between the types of Microblocks you wanted to lay down, and the Microblock Deployer would chop them up for you from the blocks in its inventory, storing the excess in a buffer space.
It is magic, after all!One thing that's interesting about the arcane ear is that it's range is really far. Much further than a player can hear.
I do use the mining well if I just need a small hole going down to an arbitrary depth. Very useful if you want a hell pump, but got a horrible spawn in a gigantic, sealed cave system.I'm a gigantic fan of the PCT, the hotkeys are so very useful!
Guessing not many people use the Mining Well, Direwolf's contraption will probably make short work of that!
Why am I now imagining an organist, sitting behind his instrument, cackling like a maniac and opening/closing routes for conveyor belts, activating traps, launching ICBMs, and dropping arcane bores on innocent nodesOr imagine a system where you have to enter a noteblock code and then flip a lever, if all the notes are recognized by the system, a new note reverbs through your entire (64+) base with ears going into new note blocks repeating the signal making your entire base aware of a visitor or diamond entering your system with the use of fancy noteblocks instead of boring wireless redstone!
Leave Microblocks up to a third party? Sure, if the third party is going to also implement redwire, insulated redwire, bundled cable, bluewire, jacketed wires, tubes, timers, state cells, AND gates, OR gates, and all the other microblock logic circuits that RP implements. The problem - as I understand it - is that all microblocks that can occupy the same 1x1 block have to have the same block ID. Which kind of means they have to be implemented by the same mod. And which also sets an upper limit, which RP has nearly reached already. Immibis probably has the same upper limit, but because he hasn't implemented wires and cables and logic gates, he has more space for different block types, and also has plenty of space for other mods to add their blocks into his microblock system. So if you just want covers and strips and columns and whatnot, use Immibis. If you want to cover your wires, cables, tubes, or BC pipes, Immibis can't give you that. Only RP covers can cover RP wires, and only BC facades can cover BC pipes. CMIIW, but that's my impression of how microblocks work.Didn't Immibis do something like this as part of his mod? Maybe RP2 should just leave that to a 3rd party so that everyone can benefit. Immibis's microblocks work on a surprising number of things.
