I went with "easy gregtech" that way I dont have to spend hours on the simplest machines(i'm still a bit of an FTB noob as it is) and I can have my BrainTech Advanced Reinforced Duct Tape FAL-84

Wait, I was using Velotican's "easy" config and I noticed that the scaffold and bronze nerf weren't turned off. I went config hunting and couldn't find a way to turn them off. It IS possible right?

GregTech.cfg, search for "B:ForestryBronzeNerf". As for scaffolding...not sure bout that one.

Scaffolding and tin buckets are the two nerfs that do not currently have configs, and it's probable they never will.

tin bucket is not a GT nerf, it is in the base IC2 configs.
Scaffolding should maybe have the EU/heat values reduced, while maybe dropping the amount you get to 8, but not as low as 4

So gregtech does have nerfs you can't turn off? But seriously, how is scaffold OP, its scaffold, you use it to help you build stuff and get rid of it later. And tin buckets? why would I even make a bucket (which is almost completely obsoleted by cans/capsules/cells and even ice from vanilla) out of a material thats way more expensive. If GregT thinks those are overpowered then i'm scared of what hes gonna do next. *uninstalls gregtech*

Well, the Bucket nerf was because of RP2's Alloy Furnace recipe for turning Buckets into Iron, thus there would be an exploit where you can turn Tin into Iron if he didn't remove the Tin. (And no, I don't think messing with Alloy Furnace recipes was an option.)

Again; Greg didn't nerf tinbuckets. It's in the IC2 config, not the gregtech config.
Scaffolds were nerfed as people would burn them for fuel at a much higher yield than the items that were used to create it. A better option would be to disallow scaffolds from being burned in a furnace/generator

First of all I would rather convert iron into tin then tin into iron. Secondly, thats just a small problem between the two mods, similar to the blaze rod EMC exploit, they are both meant to be standalone mods so when you put them together there are gonna be "issues" like this. Changing them is not the solution because then it affects the people who don't even play redpower.

Well, the main point of GT IMO is to get all mods possible working in harmony and add some endgame stuff. If it requires nerfing stuff so servers don't have iron problems, so be it.

Though ask the FTB people why they made this change in IC2's config file, thanks, Lambert, it's IC2, not GT. Even I blame Greg when he isn't guilty sometimes (even though I worship every change he makes, lol.)

Oh no, not my scaffold powered factory XD, like seriously, if people actually even do that, why lesson the amount of scaffold they get. Its kinda like when you could place ice in the nether and get water, so mojang removed the ability to get ice (well for a while) If this concerns him so much why didn't he just remove the ability to throw them in a generator?[DOUBLEPOST=1364148347][/DOUBLEPOST]

In the direwolf20 pack, without gregtech, you can make buckets from tin, with gregtech, you can't

No one knows what goes on in Greg's funny little head. Perhaps he's so used to nerfing that whenever he sees an exploit, he finds some way to properly nerf it so the I/O are the same instead of just severing a step in the exploit?

In the direwolf20 pack you can jump into other worlds whereas you can't in mindcrack. Is that Gregs fault too? No.
Look in the config files yourself.

I don't think you understand. By default you can craft tin buckets, but when you add gregtech, you can't. You said this was an IC2 config
