Good question, not sure - needs further investigation :)

But, going by the sounds of it, it's not based on the chunk because the person who discovered it was looking for quartzite veins and couldn't find them, built the drive, and then found a quartzite vein INSIDE the drive!
Hmh! Cool! I should probably test this on my own...

Cooked silkworms are one of the best foods in the world in terms of saturation, giving more of it than food.

Been noticing this when using the Cooking Table in Cooking for Blockheads. I typically sort by saturation, and if I happen to have one of those in my inventory, it's always at the top of the list.

The clear glass from Tinker's construct can be made simply with regular glass and a chisel from the Chisel mod. No more painstakingly pouring molten glass into a casting basin.

If you're running with ExU(2), you can make thickened glass, which is clear glass's identical twin, even easier, IMO. Just mix up some glass and sand in 2x2 and re-cook it. Nothing painstaking about it. I generally make it a full inventory full at a time as soon as I set up some automatic furnaces.

I use a Pump, pipe and about 20 Casting Basins to mass produce Clear Glass. (Or just EnderIO fluid conduits if I'm feeling lazy.)

Speaking of EnderIO, quite clear glass also looks just like clear glass and thickened glass, and all you need to make that one is to throw a bunch of glass into an alloy smelter.

I think that is modpack dependent. You can change what blocks the chisel can make with MineTweaker/CraftTweaker. I don't think you can create TinC glass with chisel by default. Chisel has its own "clear glass" variant as well, but that one breaks like glass without silk, unlike TinC glass.

You can open .mp4 files with Google Chrome. This is especially useful if you want to use a downloaded video for music while playing Minecraft in fullscreen, because the "Movies & TV" app does not allow itself to play if you are in fullscreen.

Apparently, in 1.7.10, using a command to give yourself a thaumcraft shard type seven corrupts your world...

Should probably report that...

EDIT: on the bright side, I didn' t loose to much when loading up the backup

Well, each one has a unique ID, it's just that Air shards are simply 4499, while the others are 4499:1 - 4499:6 (the last one being the Balanced shard)

Something that most people overlook. Extremely simple, available MUCH earlier, and (probably) cheaper for power use. The small downside being that the range of ores collected is slightly smaller :/

It's actually interesting because a lot of ores which don't spawn naturally are generated by the contraption. Hence I now have tons of ores with no purpose to me...
