Grr. I've only gotten the "Games Played" leaderboard updated because it's much slower going on mobile. Sorry guys! I'll get the other two up to speed when I get back to my comp in a few days.

@the_j485! May I humbly request including the three boards in the OP?

What are these boards and where can I find them?

Also, as I've been inactive these past few WW games, I think the time has come, for us to make a GM alt account to organise WW.

I suggest we give up one of the muses for this, what about you other chaps? @VikeStep @goreae @Shazam ?

I made the win/played leaderboard, but that put all the people that played once and won at the top (Alpha Dragon and eliandarkbrood, anyone?).

"Screw it!" I said. I formatted it to all three options. Looks like everyone's a winner! Except Sleepyscumbag!

All 22 games of the current generation were counted as accurately as possible. Enjoy, and merry Christmas!
I am slightly below average! Good enough for me!

Really? Hm, that wasn't the intention. What's wrong, and do you have any suggestions for improvement?
Not really; just in some cases users don't want to worry about screwing with their W/L ratio and it affects which games they play and how they play them.

For instance, I like to screw around a bit and generally cause a bit of chaos. It gets me killed (a lot). But then it makes me look like a crappy player if you put my "record" up, and that embiggens my sadness.

The idea is to make chaos after you have claimed success or know you will succeed. Or you are a role where chaos is advantageous.

*Your* idea is to do that. *My* idea is to just have fun.

This is what I mean by it can affect your style of play.
It wasn't fun when you accused me of betraying wolves :( anyways... Happy new years (midnight is 7 minutes away from me)

Sure, but we'd have to make a new organization thread. Or maybe... Hm. Would it be possible for @Captainnana to change the owner of a thread?

I could make Muse Thalia for this so that we still have three muses free for games. Gor? Vike?

Sadness embiggening should be avoided. Just so you know, though, whether or not you're killed has no direct impact on the scores. I counted the wins that were declared, usually in the last post from the GM. You could be smited the first day and still win.

If enough people are uncomfortable with the board as it stands, there are there solutions to make it less competitive.
  1. Remove the "W/L Ratio" in the last column, along with the Ratio Board.
  2. Cut it down to a single board, organized alphabetically by player name, so it becomes more of a stats page then a leaderboard.
  3. Remove all boards entirely, in the most drastic measure.
Strawpoll! That's a thing.

Games played or wins (hiding games played) should be enough imo. No ratios. Have two separate tables for total games and victories.

IMO this would be a better idea:
If a player misses more than one game in a row, every game missed after this game will add one to the games missed row, until a game is played, restarting the process. This would be ignored if the player has a legitimate reason to miss the game, (holidays, illness, etc.). Your score, which determines your place on the leaderboard, would be:
((Games won / Games lost) / Games missed) * 100

This would lower people's scores for not playing games, giving them inventive to keep playing. The only problem I see with this is it might be too much work for you shazam.

I don't mind the extra work, but thanks for factoring that in. :p

While this is a great incentive to keep people playing, it doesn't solve the issue of the board being too serious and competitive. It adds to it if anything. Some people may be uncomfortable with punishment for missing a game, and the concept of offering a detailed excuse to prevent a number from ticking up may feel too overregulated for a forum game.

If others like the idea, though, I'd be happy to implement it. Guys?

Here's the thing. Being punished for not attending a game meant to be fun is just silly. Your score shouldn't decrease just because you stopped playing. No, that's silly. This idea also makes the punishment eternal. No matter what, you will always have the score debuff there. If you missed four games but win every game afterwards, it will be really hard to catch up to someone who plays every game but doesn't win every time. A constant multiplier makes the score less about how good of a player you are and more about how often you play, which is really dumb.

As a visual example, let's look at two entirely made-up score values:

Luna: 5 wins, 16 losses = 31% W/L ratio.
Artemis: 10 wins, 11 losses = 91% W/L ratio.

Now, Artemis misses 5 games, which Luna attends but loses each.

Luna: 5 wins, 21 losses = 24% W/L ratio
Artemis: 10 wins, 11 losses, 5 missed = 18% W/L ratio

As you can see, Artemis is very clearly the superior werewolf player, but gets pushed to the bottom of the leaderboard for reasons not at all attributed to his skill level.
