it should work, however if there is only 1 tank, and pipes can only extract to a certain level, it means that squeezer will be locked to only 1 type of recipe, i.e. it can only process vines/cocoa/whatever, untill you destroy it(free its tank) and place it back. and if you add forestry`s recipe it will mean free squeezing for em too, which is a bit imbalanced. imo having 2 tanks will work out better.

There are many ways to do it, i also am going to allow you to take the buckets out of it, you may lose like 10mb, but that doesnt matter.
I'll think about it.

Ill get in touch with sengir later and ask about the forestry api.

It all depends how the vines / Cocoa are powering the block.
For example, you can smelt (in a furnace) logs with charcoal to get more charcoal to smelt more logs.
That's perfectly reasonable.
So as long as it's justified I'm sure it would be fine. Personally though, I don't see the logic in cocoa beans being used as power; and vines only really make sense if you're burning them (or using the sap to "grow" stuff, in which case bone meal would make sense too).

Really, it all comes down to the lore, and the player's reason / motivation for doing something. If thaumcraft tools used up dirt instead of vis, you'd be confused. If Thaumcraft explained that dirt is magic because of the microorganisms that live in it or something, then it's fair game.

(Yes that's a terrible example, sue me.)

What I mean is, some kind of explanation as to WHY these things work as a power source would be great. Wether through in-game books or you telling us on the forum, justification would help work out the little details like taht.

I think the cocoa bean thing is strange, the thing about using vine sap for it with the internal tank is good though.
And with this mod, all reason is thrown away instantly ^^

I know why they work:
The vines aren't just the structure. They are the moving parts, the motors, as such.
The vine sap gives them the nutrients to work, so they make the machine do its stuff :D
(PLease use this, been a while since I last contributed :p)

Living organic machines?
That is quite.... cool.......

Maybe.

So basically you squeeze vines down into sap which is used to power machines?
That means that Vine Sap is the power supply, not the fuel source...
I've been thinking about it wrong.
Vines = Eu, not coal? Is that it?
If so, then I don't think that having a second power system (cocoa beans AND vines) in one mod is a good idea.

Vine sap = eu and vines = coal.
Yeah, cocoa beans is complicated, i want to make a mod that is both good for newbies and advanced players.

Thanks everyone for slapping me across the head!

They don't need to require power or liquids. You can balance them in other ways.
If somebody who's heavily OCD wants a logical explanation to how all these machines work I will provide one.

Manual squeezer
You believe mashing vines and cocoa beans into a living syrup-like paste is a good idea.
Mashing time: 1 minute
Completely manual. Requires clicking on each side of the machine once per two seconds. If extra effort is put in (the sides are all clicked twice in two seconds) it will be wasted.

Automatic squeezer
An upgrade to the manual squeezer, the vines evolve and grow to power the machine.
Mashing time: 2 minutes
Completely automatic. If each side is clicked once per two seconds, it'll boost the processing time down to 1 minute.

Electrical squeezer
Because electricity and organics mix well. If you use electricity to power the machine, the internal vine structure can focus on more important things, like mashing things faster.
Mashing time: 45 seconds
Completely automatic. Attempting to help it along will shock you, if the machine is powered. If the machine is unpowered, it'll work just like the manual squeezer. Requires EU, MJ, or UE.

Voodoo squeezer
Maybe if you surround the machine with glowing stuff and chant it'll make the vines work faster.
Mashing time: 1 minute
Completely automatic. Attempting to help it along will give you a random buff/debuff, not including instant damage or instant health.

Pump squeezer
Maybe you can use hydraulics to smash things in bigger bunches.
Mashing time: 2 minutes, 30 seconds
Completely automatic. It'll work faster if a hot liquid is put into it rather than a cold one. Mashes two items at once.

Gravity squeezer
Usually, throwing heavy objects at things to make them work faster doesn't help. But it works on this machine!
Mashing time: 5 minutes
By dropping a falling block (sand, gravel) onto the huge plate above this machine, it'll reduce the mashing time by 5 seconds. If a player jumps on it, it'll reduce the mashing time by 1. If another player jumps on it, it'll reduce the mashing time by 2, and if another player jumps on it, it'll reduce the mashing time by 4. This continues on to 8 players, where it'll break the machine from a weight overload. Falling items reduce the mashing time by 1. Works like a manual squeezer otherwise.

Explosive compression squeezer
Maybe if we put bombs in there and blast the plates into the vines...
Mashing time: null
Depending on the strength of the explosive put in, it'll mash a certain number of items. TNT mashes two items, ITNT mashes one item, nukes mash a stack of items, GregTech machines mash 16 items, dynamite mashes one item, and ICBM bombs mash 2 items per tier. Example being tier 1 mashing two items, tier 2 mashing four items, tier 3 mashing eight items, and tier four mashing sixteen items. Has a chance to explode depending on the amount of items able to be mashed by a certain explosive. Example being TNT having a 0.2% chance to explode, ITNT having a 0.1% chance to explode, and a nuke having a 6.4% chance to explode. GregTech machines have a 12.8% chance to explode regardless of the amount of items that they can mash.

Acidic reconstruction reorganizational squeezer
By slicing off the extra unnecessary bits, we can fit things together in a more effective way.
Mashing time: 4 minutes
Completely automatic. Requires an acidic or hot liquid. For two minutes, the liquid drips around the sides of the item being mashed, lowering their volume, allowing them to be fit closer together. By using hot liquids over acidic liquids, there's a chance for the entire item to go up in flames. By using acidic liquids over hot liquids, there's a chance for the acid to drip out of the machine and onto the floor. Can use sliced-off bits to form an extra bonus item for mashing. Once the items are done being compacted, it works just like an automatic squeezer.

Dehydration centrifugal reorganizational squeezer
Maybe we can dry them so they get compact before we squeeze them.
Mashing time: 3-5 minutes depending on biome
Completely automatic. Dries two items so they shrink and then mashes them. Works faster in hot/dry biomes, works slower in cold/moist biomes. Requires EU, MJ, or UE.

Collection anti-containment eternality squeezer
Let's just grow vines towards a slicer to get a steady income of vines to mash.
Mashing time: 30 minutes
Completely automatic. Giving bonemeal to the machine reduces the mashing time to 20 minutes. Requires EU, MJ, or UE.

Hey, can i ask everyones ideas on something?

VineaHarness, this is a chest piece which you link to a block, in the block you place vines, these are the ropes.
Now there is a few ways the next bit could be done on fall damage:
Prevent all fall damage.
On a button press, stop you in air, thus resetting fall damage, you can then press another button to pull yourself up the rope.

Ideas?
Just came in my head, woudnt come for a VERY long time.

Also, do people agree if i categorized all items, such as simple, moderate and advanced?

I think it shouldn't be a chest plate, just a line coming from you or something. It should basically just allow free up and down movement.

Github commit if anyone is wondering.

Slowpoke has said something today that REALLY has motivated me, expect some content soon!
I REALLY want to get this mod out ^^
