Regarding the liquid change, I heard something about it breaking liquids inside of tanks. Would this also affect liquids stored inside of stuff like capsules, cells, and barrels? Also, I too am curious about this ban thing now :O

Thank you for answering our questions as well.

Liquids in tanks are basically guaranteed to go away, though it's possible people will come up with workarounds to load the 'old-style' liquids. I'm actually not 100% sure on container items but I'd expect them to survive because it's just an item ID.

Powercrystals, I was just wondering if this is not the place where you would like to get mod requests so feel free to ignore what I put in the spoiler below but I do have a request of sorts. However, there is something I was wondering of you were planning or would consider planning to implement.

You know how you can cycle through the sixteen colours on each side of rednet cable where it connects to something. Would it be possible to add a seventeenth option where the cable connects to nothing on that side?

If you click on the red area in the middle of the cable, you can set the cable to 'only connect to cable'

I think he wants the cable to connect to other things but not just one side of the cable. That will make it connect to nothing but another cable.

Yes Saice is correct. I am aware that hitting the centre of the cable sets the cable to 'connect to cable only' mode. But occasionally in tight wiring situations where i want to have a rednet cable running parallel to a liquiduct, if that rednet cable is connected to a machine that needs redstone to function but also a liquiduct, say a liquicrafter, i would like to have the rednet cable to connect to the liquicrafter but not the liquiduct. I also don't want to disable rednet connections to liquiducts in the config because there are some practical uses for controlling liquiducts with redstone.

Also, I only put my suggestion within a spoiler because I was conscious that a lot of requests were being made of powercrystals (including by myself) and I was concerned that my requests might be tedious so I made an attempt for anyone to ignore it if they didn't want to read it. To Shneekythelost, if you put your response in spoilers because you were annoyed or insulted by me using a spoiler just now, I hope you see my reasoning now. If you weren't then consider this a bad reading of the mood on my part, it is not easy to detect tone of voice over the internet:).

You are aware you have 16 channels, yes? Simply set them to different channels. Have the color associated with the liquiduct one color and the color associated with the machine a different color. Each of the six sides of rednet cable can be a different color on the same block. That way you can both toggle the liquiduct and toggle the machine separately.

I spoilered because you spoilered. I wasn't intending a slight.

Thanks for taking the time to write that but I already knew that you could configure each side separately. I have a situation on my world where what I requested would be helpful but not necessary for what I want to do (at least not yet). That's another reson why I put I put my request in a spoiler where you would only read it if you wanted to; its a feature that isn't absolutely necessary for most rednet networks I just have a feeling that it would be helpful in some tight wiring situations where you have a block that is redstone ready next to a cable network and you don't want the block to be influenced by that network. The liquiducts example might not have been a good example.

Unless you have all sixteen colors already reserved, it really isn't useful, because you can simply use one of the unused channels. I have yet to see a practical build where that is the case.

The main issue I have with this is that I don't yet have a solution that I feel is intuitive enough. I like this idea and I want this to be possible, but I need to be sure that people can discover the feature and won't be confused by it. Adding it as a "17th" color isn't too bad, but then I'll get asked for per-side force-connect too and that needs to be set separately from color...

I am currently building a system which will have a computer turn on or off 8 different channels and possibly listen to a couple more. After that I can envision adding more channels to the network. Then if I want the same piece of cable to be able to connect to one block and not another without possibly affecting it I wouldn't if all channels are taken. I am happy to do work arounds though, for example as you suggested I can use unused channels which is what I am doing now. All I was doing was suggesting a feature that might be helpful to some people in limited situations to a person that might be able to act on that suggestion in a way I hoped would be unintrusive.

Edit: I said intrusive when I actually meant unintrusive. Sorry. (How ironic, the intrusive spellchecker suggested that change.)

I was just thinking as well that once the side has disappeared how would you make it reappear again? That would make it a pain when cycling through the colours. Would it possible to do some shift-clicking shenanigans to do it. I suppose whatever way you do it there would still have to be a cable stump that the user could hit to change the mode.

wow dude u r just so bad i can see steam coming out of your ears.

Guys, what the heck does a liquicrafter do? I was thinking it was like a crafting bench that used liquids, but that can't be right. It's like a sorter, right?

Its used to make margarittas and other assorted mixed drinks. but honestly no Idea but that would be cool
