Yea I went looking around trying to find the "full purchase" and there is nothing, so I assume I have it and it was a miscommunication.

On another note.

Spawning next to a chest that has ax, wood and apples and torch next to it and 30 blocks from a giant village and in the middle of a herd of sheep and flock of chickens? Wheres the fun in that? Where's the "punch the tree to get some wood" and running around trying to get enough supplies and making a hobbit hole before first night? This isn't your grandpas survival mode.

I think you can turn off the spawn chest, and your world gen just wasn't very hard (RNGesus appears to have shone his light on an unappreciative follower ). This isn't Dwarf Fortress, you can't choose your spawn location.
