I may not have advanced anti griefing protection, but I do have access to the server files with daily snapshots, and the means to explore them.

What do you enjoy most with Minecraft and FTB: The variety it has. Some people like Minecraft because of the building, or the survival. Personally, I enjoy it because you can add literally anything, from Portal Guns to the end of the world. FTB is a great example of that.
