Well, you do not need to change the speed/torque settings, right? At least in v10 of RotaryCraft, I got two Pneumatic Engine (BC's MJ to speed/torque block?) attached to a bevel gear which is then connected to an industrial coil to output the max speed and max torque (or was it power?) needed for the Extractor and it works just fine for me.

Yeah, you can set it at 8192rad/s and 512Nm and it'll do all 4 stages as long as you give it water too. I think using the cross mod machines is cheating! :)

Oh, anyone knows how the spawner controller works? Like I attached it to the top of a spawner, then I have power input into the spawner itself? And other than enabling/disabling the spawns, what else can I do with it? Can they be forced to spawn in high level level surrounding? Hasten the spawning rate? Remote access to the spawner controller?

You can make the spawn rate insane. Straymav did some crazy stuff with it on his Twitch stream.

Now that sounds interesting...I'm looking for a replacement of sorts after SS2 sunk itself. Does it require you to be near the spawner?

Might have been his configs doing that though....

Anyway, is it possible to move the spawners in any way, or do you have to set up power near the dungeon?

If you are playing with DartCraft, there's the Force Wrench.

MFR = PortaSpawner

RotaryCraft = Bedrock Pickaxe

Portal guns are free, just have to find them. I do need to make a gravgun at some point, they seem better for moving things in my experience. Too many times a portalgun has left my barrel underground, on the roof, or shooting across the sky.

And isn't that the truth. I half expect to be able to create a flat world made entirely out of TC chests just to save the effort of flying around.

It is too bad Morph basically breaks every mod that is based around exploration. At least there is a fair degree of risk in spamming Mystcraft ages until you're well into late midgame.

Unless, of course, you have morph. It's annoying that way. And its real claim to the pack is that it can fit the player in small spaces. But of course, no one ever actually turns off the mob powers as they say that.

Yes, morph is the most overpowered thing to ever exist and should be perma-banned. Let's not get into that argument AGAIN.

I suppose, to be fair, even the most balanced mods can seem unfair when you put them in funny circumstances or pair them with mods that the author didn't forsee. Taking a moment to toot my own horn... They said it wasn't "that useful" or "easy to abuse." I found a way. :)

After the boring machine head gets X distance away the only thing it finds is cobble. I assume this is some problem with chunk generation, only thing I can do to fix it myself is travel ahead of the boring machine, generating chunks the old fashioned way.

I didn't have a strong enough headache so I decided to try out the woodcutter.

Does it cut wood directly in front of it? Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.
Does it replant seedlings in places it can't actually cut down the tree that grows? Quite often.

If you want to carry this around in a backpack with an industrial coil it could be useful for some on-the-spot treecutting. Seems useless for any sort of automated tree farm.

It doesn't seem to be able to shear leaves either so it won't help with gasoline production. Looking to automate the vegetable matter production portion of that. Fans won't do sugar cane. Thinking I might have to go vanilla reed farm with pistons.

You can enchant the woodcutter to have it replace saplings at 100%. The not cutting down a tree seems to be a slight issue. It can be fixed through the config: B:"Instant Woodcutter"=false
Set it to true and you should be fine.
