I don't like the time period idea. All the different places in the server should have different RPs and so, different architectures, and eventually technologies.
This may indeed be the way to go!
Are there still only 16 slots? And will there be more in the future?
As I said in the OP, if the server go's well on the first 3 months then I'll upgrade our slot #.

Well, server lore is not really fantasy based. It's kind of like a parallel universe. If you've ever played Fallout, think of that games world before the war.

Actually, the best (for diversity) would be a tech/fantasy mix, wich is exactly what the Ultimate pack is made for. If we go for a full tech server, we'll not use thaumcraft, EE3, soulshards, Twilight forest, and even enchantements on tools and stuff. But there are cool mods, so i'm for a mix. as i said, the different countries.cities on the server should have different RPs, and technologies, with some more using techstuff and other magicstuff or a mix of different stuff. It'll force the player to travel to get some stuff, and he will be able to choose where to settle, by his "playstyle", going in a place where they use the same stuff as him.

I'm realising that those posts are really messy, but i can't find a way to make them better :(

Yes, very good idea.

Are we using the latest version of Ultimate? GregTech plate bending machines, mixers, etc?[DOUBLEPOST=1367145512][/DOUBLEPOST]

Check out this link:

I suggest to wait for FTB Ultimate 1.5 to setup the serv, as lots of mods include major changes (mostly gregtech, with new fusionreactors (tried them, they are awesome), and plates, and the Mixed metal ingot is now cheaper, but also tons of new forestry trees, tons of changes on applied energetics and Xycraft, and there will be new mods, like Tinker construct), and i suppose Redpower will have fixed the bag-bug.

Ok, thanks! I don't suppose you have a rough idea of when 1.5 is coming out do you? (Really excited for the new gregtech and forestry changes, my two favourite mods in FTB. New bees! )

I just seen the application stuff.

Aw...

How will i even be able to pass that?

I'm very interested to join a server with a real economy, RP and stuff, but I've never been good at writing it. I'll have to think about that application a bit, and it'll take some time.

Don't worry! You don't have to try hard it. This is the best time to apply since I am trying to get a decent number of people playing. Don't think about it too much.

Uncrafting table: Why remove it? it's useful. Never heard of a duplication bug here too.
You can uncraft any enchanted item and then craft it again from the components to remove an enchantment. Make 8 cans from XYcraft aluminium, then uncraft them into tin. Craft pistons with aluminum, uncraft them into iron. Use sticky pistons to convert rubber resin into slimeballs. Then uncraft some bonemeal into bones, and macerate them into more bonemeal. Same with blaze rods. There's more.

(Actually I tested it now and the worst actual "dupe an item of your choice" bug has been fixed.)

Managers: They are the most useful machine of Redpower. I never got any bug with them. You must have did something wrong.
Yes, that is the problem. If you do something wrong (namely destroying the connected inventory while the manager is processing items), the world gets corrupted. The only way to fix it is to either nuke the whole chunk in MCEdit, or manually go into the level file and remove the problematic manager and all its associated items.

Chunkloading turtles: I don't used them much, so i don't know about bugs.
It's not a bug per se, it's just how easy is to accidentally say something like "repeat turtle.forward() until server.outOfHardDriveSpace()". And (compared to, say, frameships) turtles are so fast that once you do that you probably won't catch it until it generates a gig or two of chunks and runs out of fuel.

Soul shards: A really cool mod. Don't disable it. The amount of kills to make a good spawner is so big that is is balanced anyways.
You don't kill mobs to level up shards. You consume 5 (or was it 4?) spawners to get a tier 5 shard, then combine it with a tier 1 of your mob type of choice to get a tier 5 of that mob. Then you leave it running all the time, do that for several people, and server performance goes bye bye as it tries to spawn dozens of mobs every second.

Application form filled out and completed :D I agree with Abdiel's post above about certain banned items like uncrafting tables etc, but does anyone know whether canvas bag dupe glitch has been fixed yet?

EDIT 1: I will definitely ban chunk loaders but I'm not sure about ComputerCraft though. Loop commands, yes, but computers will be vital for developing server lore! Obvious ones like redstone loops and mob spawner machines will be banned.
But chunkloaders are essential for some stuff, like pumps or quarries in the nether or an age, with tesseracts to move the liquid/items to the overworld. If you don't have chunkloaders, you'll need a player in the overworld and one in the nether/age (and the one in the nether/age will be quickly bored). Also, giant automated factories, if they are bigger than the chunkloading radius of a player, can't work without chunkloaders.
I'm thinking about not banning chunkloaders, just making that you'll need a governemental (admin) authorisation to place one of any kind, and the admins will keep an eye on it.
I don't know any machine wich can't work without redstone loops, with all the control systems we have.
Mob spawner machines could need the same authorisation as chunkloaders. To be authorised, they'll need to kill the mobs fast enough to not have too much mobs at the same time, and be able to be shutdown, so there will not be lag.
Also, mystages should need a authorisation to be made too.
This policy would allow to not ban stuff, but keep potentially laggy stuff under control.

Another decent idea, Yellow.
Anyway, what should we call the server? I was thinking CorpCraft, CapitalCraft, The Lixar Server (for personal reasons) and CashCraft?

Oh, and we definitely need world builders. When the server is up and running, I'll take volunteers. Firstly we need to complete the capital building. I've started it but it's... well, see for yourself.
Wait... Will the "starting buildings" be made in creative mode or survival? On a no-cheat server (read: almost all servers), i'd like to have the admin buildings made legitimately too. Eventually, at the start of the server, evryone work together for building the administration buildings, some roads and evrything wich is needed, then we implement the full economy system.
