Responded to questionnaire, I think the only banned item should be the Canvas Bag due to its ability to duplicate items of your choice.
Nah, those bags are cool. I never heard about a duplication bug with them.
Yes, and by the sounds of it you know quite a thing or two about config files. Maybe you would be up for helping me get it pitch-perfect as part of server staff?

Well I definitely like the roleplay idea, I'll keep an eye on this - especially the economy part. I'm already playing on two severs though, so if I join my time will be limited. I'm probably going to decide based on configs, disabled items, etc.
On the topic of disabled items:
Canvas bags (dupe items, easily replaced by ender pouches)
Uncrafting table (dupes items)
Managers (can destroy the entire world due to a bug)
Chunkloading turtles (easy to make a mistake and send one loading chunks to infinity)
Minium stone and/or the entire EE mod (too many infinite item loops)
If you want mob drops to have any value at all, disable Soul Shards entirely. This includes coal, iron, gold.
There's a bunch of other things I would personally disable or change the values of for purposes of balance, but it's your server, I'm not going to dictate how to run it.
Canvas bag: Never heard of that duplication bug. I always use them and never got problems with it.
Uncrafting table: Why remove it? it's useful. Never heard of a duplication bug here too.
Managers: They are the most useful machine of Redpower. I never got any bug with them. You must have did something wrong.
Chunkloading turtles: I don't used them much, so i don't know about bugs. Turtles are definitely OP (cheap crafts), but removing them or a peripheral would just be dumb. I hate disabling something, even if i dont use it, as having more in game content is the reason i play with FTB. I like knowing there is stuff existing, even if i dont use it.
EE3 : Yes, it's OP, but the mod is in-devloppement, so i suppose lots of balancing will be done. The minium stone is the only feature wich already exists, ald lots of stuff will come. I'm okay about having it disabled at start, then we'll enable it when the mod will be more balanced, with future updates.
Soul shards: A really cool mod. Don't disable it. The amount of kills to make a good spawner is so big that is is balanced anyways. And not building your trap correctly will get you killed. So i find it balanced. And mobs drops never had any value anyways.[DOUBLEPOST=1367144647][/DOUBLEPOST]

50/50 at the moment. On the topic of items, with the money you start off with you will be able to buy some essentials from a government run shop. Once things have got up and running, that shop will close and you will be forced to purchase items from player run shops.
