I can give it a shot. I probably won't play it "legit" but I should be able to spot some of the exploits (I likes breaking all the things muahahaha!)

xD. In response to the mega-post you just did on the other thread, I might add most of them, but keep in mind, I have a crummy computer that dosent run mods well. So the less mods the better. But thanks for the suggestions! :D

Oh, you're going for more of a light pack? WHOOPS! That actually changes a lot of recommendations when performance is on the line. For instance, I will never suggest Binnie's mods, even with the fixes it's still a bit of a lag monster. Also it becomes more of a "try and add options, but if you can't then try to find the most usable/flexible mod" so I would probably suggest only Mystcraft for portals. EP3 isn't as usable, and RFTools is gated a lot later in the challenge. Stuff like that.

Hmm. My current mod set includes just over 110 mods. I'd have to think pretty hard to decide which I'd remove. I don't think I could get it below 80 without feeling some pain.

Well, a little over 100 mods should be fine. Minimum 90. @Senseidragon Could you post a list of the mods you use for reference? That would be appreciated greatly!

The list changes as I test various mods and track down bugs, but this set is (so far) pretty stable. I've divided it into three sections: client side only, server side only, and both sides.

Pay attention to the note next to FastCraft - It may *NOT* be included by default in your modpack. Users must download and install that themselves. Regardless, it is highly recommended that users install this mod.

Several others are juggled on or off the list as testing progresses. Logistics Pipes is a good complement to Buildcraft but it is not currently working with the latest stable release of buildcraft. When it is, I will likely add it.
RFTools is a good Tech-like alternative to multiple dimensions like Mystcraft has. Same general concept, different flavor.
RFTools is NOT just a reskinned Mystcraft though. It has neat features unique to itself.
Other mods, like Witchery or Magical Crops could also be inserted, but at some point, particularly with lower end machines, you need to start serious trimming. Usually world-gen or biome-gen mods are the first things I cut.

Things like Lycanite's Mobs, Infernal Mobs, or Ender Zoo are ... flavor to taste mods. If you're into that sort of thing, go for it. For me, some of those Infernal Mob combinations are just wickedly overpowered.

Got the pack. Looks like a decent start.

Added Fastcraft myself, as necessary.

First quest might need a few more materials...

K. Thanks for the feedback. While you play, any and all feedback is appriciated. I will probably change the first quest to need 98 dirt instead.

Hunger Overhaul is currently configured to be too aggressive. I am currently eating through a stack of 8 porkchops and it did not fully regain my hunger bar. The diminished food replenishment is intended for when you have other mods (like Pam's Harvestcraft, specifically mentioned in the Hunger Overhaul thread) installed that allow you to make more complex meals. The idea there being the simpler the meal is to make, the less it restores. Thus, natura berries replenish very little, while a bacon mushroom burger or lasagna will restore quite a bit. With no additional food mods in place, you will starve yourself to death or single-handedly wipe out all cows, pigs and chickens for miles around trying to keep alive.

I recommend either toning down the nourishment penalty on Hunger Overhaul or (preferred) adding something like HarvestCraft and/or GrowthCraft to the pack to compensate.

I got the same problem, for now Ill add it on my own. Because having food sucks when there is hunger overhaul but no other food mods haha.
