Ok, this falls under the catagory of not new but new to me. And I suspect it's new to most everybody. (Or at lest non pack makers.)
Extra bees is now a part of Binnies' mods. (We knew that.) As is his genectics machines. (Ditto.)
What most don't know is there is no way to remove or disable the machines in configs.
Also they only work with MJ. As is used to be part of Buildcraft but now can't be produced in any way buildcraft. (As far as I know.) But as there is only a hacky way to get it working (copying the MJ api from an old version of BC and paisting it into the mods zip.) I don't think I'm wrong.

Yes you are. You're supposed to copy over parts of the gate API, not the MJ API. Updating the MJ API causes lasers to crash (unless you keep the 6.1+ ILaserTarget). See https://github.com/BuildCraft/BuildCraft/issues/2283

The major hilight of the 2.0 release is the new Dimension Builder. ...
There are various types of dimlets. You can control the shape of the terrain, the biome to use, ...
More complex dimensions will need more power. So make sure you have a VERY good power production if you want to make a world out of diamond blocks ...
Make sure you don't stay in the dimension when it is running out of power. ... Before that happens you will get various bad effects ...

So we now have another mystcraft-like device, this time for tech mod packs, based on ongoing power to operate, instead of some vaguely-understood writing technique that generate random and unexpected things in the forum threads about the ages being made :).

Nono you still have to have some sort of proper writing technique. I tried to make what I thought was a simple age. I got a world composed of masses of netherack tenderals. It's real cool but not what I was looking for.

Well there are a few things that make writing a dimension easier then in mystcraft:
  • Order doesn't matter except for modifiers (currently only material and liquid dimlets) which should come before what they are modifying (usually a terrain dimlet or a feature dimlet).
  • You don't get instability or other issues when you use modifiers that are no used by anything. In fact, besides power excessive usage and not getting what you want, there is nothing you can do wrong really.
  • All dimlets that are needed to remove all randomness from a dimension are craftable (although some require dimensional shards). That means that you can make a fully specified age with limited features.

Could be but I don't think so. It looks like the same double round thing as xycraft.
Well it's certainly not Xycraft. Vaperware OP
Still, if those glowing balls of awesome are going to be introduced into BC, I may have to install BC into my new TBA pack.

I don't think that's a part of BC. It would be in one thing to simply copy the consent but directly copying even the atheistic of Xycrafts power system would be in bad taste.
And I do know that there has bin progress with xycraft. The power system should be about ready. And the athstetic parts has bin for a while. All we are waiting on is the multyblock systems.

Hmm, maybe I should check spam?
Oh wow, does google do a good job of filtering spam.

Email from posts viewed? No. I get email from threads that I have posted in, and there's a config somewhere to disable that on a per-thread or global basis.

Oh hi there!
So, we're going to give this fantastic contraption a try!

Here's the 2.2.1 update, along with a link to the build server: http://coloredlightscore.us.to:8080/job/Chisel-2 v1.7.10/
Download the "Latest successful artifact" and give it a go! Continue posting your bugs here, and issues on Github.

Changelog:
2.2.1:
Fixed Presents not rendering correctly, and combined their inventories properly
Various bits of texture work
Removed Chisel's left click on the
Added various missing hardness/resistance values to blocks (signs included)
Added missing recipe for technical blocks
Added missing lightValue to torches
French language support
Made preparations for some Arcane Blocks

Note: We intend to add the "chisel left click" back in, on the upcoming "Diamond Chisel" It didn't make it into this release, but you'll probably see another release in a couple days with the stuff missing from this one.
I genuinly fear for the future of chisel... A diamond chisel, and in the last release (2.2.0) the auto chisel started getting upgrades and upgrade slots... Chisel's beauty is/was it's simplicity.

Then there's the auto-chisel. Since it's conception it's never worked properly. In older versions it converted literally anything into anything, then it got rebuilt, and wouldn't convert vanilla blocks into chisel blocks. now it's getting upgrades (which are only spawn-in and do nothing at the moment), but it still doesn't convert vanilla blocks. Not to sound like a grumpy asshat, but Jeez, guys, make the damn machine work properly first, then fiddle with its design and stuff. I can't imagine the machine being much more complicated than merging a furnace with the chisel's own recipe library.

Agreed adding any sort of complexity to something that is only meant as an atheistic mod is stupid beyond words. They might as well make everything require UU mater. Or stop dev on the mod all together.
As this sort of addition violates the spirit and base consent of the mod. And is the first step to killing this mod.

Half is half isn't.
Lots of mods add atheistic blocks. Most don't use them.
So adding a tech tree to chisel is a bad idea. Not to mention that it would clash honorably with non teck packs.
Chisel is the epitome of a K.I.S.S. mod.
Keep it simple stupid.

Thought so, Yeah If the diamond chisel is just "the chisel that changes already placed blocks" I think that could work, but if it's indicative of an intention to add some sort of tier system in the future, I'm worried.
That and, as I mentioned, the tendency for the devs to keep changing the design of the auto chisel rather than just getting it working is frustrating, It's like they can't decide what to make of it, and having it functionally working is suffering because of it.

Yikes... Talk about feature creep... Honestly i don't know how you can manage to screw up such a simple mod.
Block A -> Block B Done. No need for any fancy junk.
The only thing that would be nice is a larger GUI space for picking out blocks with tons of options. Perhaps a "Chisel chest"(Think like an AE terminal) with a bit of storage(9 slots or so). Click block get stack of said block while consuming a stack of the base material. Simple and it solves an inherent problem with things that have a bunch of options.

I saw a few commits with chiseled torches. Don't quite understand that one but meh. I prefer Carpenters blocks for that stuff anyway.
