If you think *this* community is bad ... I have a few ones to introduce you to that might make you despise humanity. Call me the odd one out, but I find this community to be pretty damn friendly and a haven of sanity compared to the other one I frequent.
I have a friend who's ripping people off with the trading feature there. It was absolutely hilarious.

Try the Starbound community. I have yet to see a single troll on the forums. Also, Starbound is a fun game, so that is a bonus!
Nope! The Guild Wars 2 roleplay community. That place ... it's like if someone assembled all the worst of the Tumblrites and put them in the same room. It's horrific. *shudders*
Yes, I roleplay. A *lot*. *This* is my hobby on the side.
Only if I had people to play with ... and a server to play with them on.
There are plenty of servers out there, and I think there is a thread with server listings.

Wait...Guild Wars 2 has a roleplaying community? I can understand something of that nature for D&D Online, but GW2 always struck me as more action and less roleplaying.
Yes it does. Any MMO does, really. It's existed since before the game launched.

the World of Tanks forums are BAD.
one particular game mechanic, artillery, which if mentioned in a thread, will instantly cause a massive de-rail, with lots of timeouts from moderators.
if you START a thread on it and show even the slightest hint of support for it, you will draw out all the haters.
you don't get so many now, but there have been times where a lot of people come crying about teamkill bans or somesuch.
complaints about the seemingly low level of player skill, or the matchmaking system are probably the most common thing.
whenever a new patch hits, you get a lot of "PATCH X.X BROKE THE GAME" "PATCH CHANGED RNG" threads popping up.
current GD front page, out of 46. some of these are actual discussions instead of pointless rage:
MM: 3
players: 7
artillery/mechanics: 4
something OP/UP: 5
everything else is just miscellaneous stuff.
