Yeah but it is great for building combat skills. You only get better when you challenge yourself to do so.
Anyone can run.
And do you really want to just be an anyone?
Its not like dieing costs you anything.
It is not like there is much risk beyond the need to walk back in shame and collect your items.
So why not fight back and maybe you will learn something. Maybe you will get a taste for challenges... maybe you will be a huge frick'n gold starship.
Not people with 3 bars or less of hunger.

Hmm, well I did move to a void world...I do have a couple of centrifuges up...and I do have a Tier 5 Zombie Pigman spawner...
Actually, on my first survival world, I had it on peaceful, for a long, long time. I had an automatic minecart system that I could put items into a cart, click a button, and an empty cart would come down, and got full diamond armor and all the shabizzle I needed before I turned on mobs. For one night. Then I liked it so I used NEI to make it night again Maybe I should try it...my friend has had a vanilla world and has played it for months (no mods) and has yet to turn on mobs. I feel dumb now for not realizing it's the same thing.
I'm gonna find a huge flux node, and build a huge frick'n gold starship around it, and kill ALL the wisps!
...I haven't battled the wither.

XP is nothing ... NOTHING I tell you. You have a tier 5 spawner... congrats you now have unlimited XP. how is losing some learning to fight an issue then?
I undestand losing sucks... but really you will be doing your self a HUGE favor by learning how to fight in MC and also getting over this uneeded fear of death. At worst ... lets say you have full OMG epic everyting that took you months to make and you die in lava while fighting the almight mega ultra super pigman.... Well it is still just a lot of nothing. All that stuff ALL of it can be remade your total loss? Some time. What else are you going to do? If you never take a risk you will never do anothing more then horde and hide.
I run around in just a pair of longfall boots most of the time. Why becuase I've learned to deal with day to day mobs. They don't bother me much anymore. How I get to this level? I took a lot of risks lost a lot of stuff and learned from it. Now im not some badass like Etho or anything so I still suit up when I know im going into trouble. But losing a bunch of gear is never ever going to make me run away form a wisp. And XP yeah really if you have any sort of spawn XP is nothing it is like water it should never be a issue. Even without a spawner it is still really easy to get. Kill stuff Mine stuff Smelt stuff BAM level 30 enchant a way my freind enchant a way.

Yea there's a bug where you can macerate and smelt the same items over and over again to get infinite exp. But yeah, I will go wisps *is inspired* *dies*
Slowly the blocks go in. But It does look nice with the lights in he ceiling and floor. I did try moving the pattern over so they were inverted but it just messed with my head so I went with a mirrored look instead. Still working on this just takes a lot of time. I have to go back an finish wrecking a volcano for more basalt.

There's a surface quarry program on the CC forums, you could check that out, it's good for basalt. Unless you're someone who doesn't like to use other's programs, which I understand.
I just go at it with some wands. I don't mind busy work in MC.
I'm not supposed to laugh out loud when I am on the internet. I'm just supposed to push air out of my nose loudly, not laugh for real.

Oh no... I just went out exploring looking for valcones to harvest for basalt and found this one between my old base and my current porject the mothership.
Gods damn it, how did I typo "oil" as "lava"? Evidently the answer to that is "badly" and "easily'.
That aside, I have always wanted to quarry a volcano. I may just do that, even though I have NO need of basalt nor basalt cobblestone as I hollowed out my volcano fairly well already.

But I don't get Factorization Routers and I need the extra stuff to go to other chests!
