I have a "blooper reel" of me dying over and over in increasingly absurd ways. I was planning to save it. I had one where I got a phone call and you can hear me talking to my sister and then I go, "OH! A ZOMBIE! NO I'M FALLING!" and you can hear my sister yelling into the phone, "Dave? Dave? Are you okay?" as I just stare at the screen, utterly pissed off.

I will be extremely unhappy if I don't get to see this!

Episode 29 is out, in which I show off some tree breeding stuff from Forestry then start setting up a basic sorting system for my base using logistics pipes, which is a relatively recent addition to Resonant Rise.

Dave, just wanted to ask a couple of quick questions. I came back from holiday yesterday and updated to the latest version of RR using the ATLauncher.

When I logged into my world, first of all, all my insulated copper cables/wires had vanished. Strangely enough I also couldn't find them in NEI.

Secondly, I have 9 electrolytic separators feeding 9 hydrogen generators. Additionally, I have 5 heat generators hooked into the same system. This all leads into 1 advanced energy cube which supplies 3 basic energy cubes with power (one of which to kickstart the separators). All this power supplies my ME autocrafting system and a couple of TE machines.

The problem lies in the fact that when I log out (SSP), and back in...I need to basically replace all my energy cubes since power doesn't go from the advanced to the regular ones after a relog???

Moreover, the current setup seems to be drawing so much power that the advanced energy cube is always empty. For now, I'm using redstone energy conduits to route the power around my base rather than anything else...

Any ideas why this happens? Iirc, the amount of power I'm generating should be enough to sustain my current system?

Cheers,
Bel*.

Welcome back!

Calclavia and Aidan discontinued Electric Expansion in favor of a new mod. They did this by killing all download links.

Have you tried universal cable? There is a weird bug in Mekanism that makes it so that sometimes energy networks break and all batteries need to be replaced to fix it. We find this doesn't happen if you use only universal cable.

Dave,

Thanks for the quick reply indeed. I'll look into the universal cable once I have a chance to log back in...son needs to go to bed soon :)

Just find it's a shame the initial mod for cabling was discontinued...oh well. I'll see! Btw, the cable is called universal cable, right?

@KirinDave: using Universal Cable to route power around and into my energy cubes seems to have fixed it indeed. Thanks for that info.

As an aside: I also found that feeding the power into my newly made redstone energy cell via Universal Cable works quite well and from thereon I can reroute the power via redstone conduits (still my favourite)...

Cheers,
Bel*.

P.S.: I found out that Universal Cable is quickly and easily broken by Shift-rightclicking with a wrench (seem to recall you mentioning it takes ages to break).

P.P.S.: you aware of any machine to automate the harvesting of berries (not oreberries but those required to make the berry-dish-whatchamacallit)? MFR's fruit picker seems to only function on vanilla-type fruits (reeds, cocoa, etc.).

The harvester works quite well for doing that.

Sent from boobs (because why not?)

Interesting...all the more so since I tried with a spare harvester I had lying around, yet that didn't seem to work...think I'll have to try some more I suppose :)
