After much downloading last night, I got an RR-based MultiMC instance up and running. I used newer versions of some of the mods, since it was often easier to find the URL for the latest rather than the version listed in KirinDave's mod list. A few notes my testing:

Railcraft 1.5.1-7.1.0.0 seems to be working with KirinDave's configs, once I fixed one additional ID conflict that version introduced. (I had to change the slab from 4095 to 473.)

I was goingto do this update pre-1.5.2 this weekend. If you tell me what ID you used I'll preserve it with you.

ExtraBees 1.6-pre7, the latest from their web site, does *not* work. I had to track down the adfly link to version 1.6-pre6 from Binnie's Twitter stream to get the version that does work.

I think this is because we're waiting on a forestry update.

GravitySuite version 1_9_2 also did not work. Version 1_9_1 installed fine.
Yeah it has to do w/ Forge, I think.

Hmm, was just over halfway through the list, when I came across appeng-rv10-m.zip.
I have absolutely no idea what this is, nor where/how to get it. Kinda throwing a spanner in the works of being finished downloading everything in half an hour.
Can someone explain to me what it is?

Oh, I've played with applied Energistics 1.4.7 a LOT.
I automated making the first 15 plages of renewable NEI items, and the majority of GregTech machines (not cells).
I understand that it became more expensive on 1.5, but apart from that, I don't think there's been any additions?

Also, it was the name that confused me, all the others are the mod name, sometimes small, sometimes caps, sometimes with the fact that they were universal, some included Mc versions. Some, such as MPS and MPSA had clear, easily recognisable shorthand.

However called applied Energistics (AE) appeng.zip was kinda confusing.
Also, I was literally loading up the twilight forest page having downloaded everything else when chrome ran out of memory, and then (I might have clicked something) windows shut down due to important updates to install.
And now I need to wait till tomorrow evening (19 or so hours later) to finish. :/ not your fault obviously.

Kinda irrelevant, but will shutting down my laptop have fixed chromed memory issue? Or do I download twilight forest via Internet explorer? Do I need to go into %appdata% and do something there?
Temp? Clear that? Also, it was saying something about Jim being dead. That may be googles sense of humor, or it may be a virus? Anyone confirm?

And I must say, Thaumic bees now does not depend upon Thaumcraft. Only forestry, Thaumcraft and Ars magica both add the majority of its content, however if you just want to breed a minium bee, you can :D. So this means that Thaumic bees can also be given in the build pack.

Also, I HIGHLY respect all the work that you do dave, I am finding simply downloading the mods when provided with good links and a conprehensove list to be time-consuming, never mind all you do with compiling versions, checking compatability and formatting configs, ensuring all block ids don't conflict and are sensible so NEI correctly groups all IC2 based things near other IC2 based things. This is simply amazing, and I think you should receive more credit for this, especially as the official FTB TEAM haven't put a 1.5 pack together AFAIK.

Do you have a comprehensive list of all the mods and what is required to get permissions?
If not, I could probably gather the required terms and conditions for most of them, and give the results to you.
If there's any that we are already certain of we should post them here, - actually bette idea, post the mod list, and beside it a hyphen and either open, or the conditions nessessary for perms. This might speed up the permission process a lot, and if this pack can be freely distributed, then it will be great.

Thanks. I don't always do a good job on the NEI part due to ordering and sometimes staying up way too late to find time to get this work done. But yes, it's a huge amount of work to get the modpack ball rolling.

I've started compiling this. It is not done yet. If you wanna rock that, it'd be great. There are a few documents floating around the forums I was going to crib from.

Thanks for the offer.

Perfect, I'll start analysing most of the perms soon.

What might be the best way to do this, should I get a the info and then post it, or just post as I go along, or edit my original post? The latter?[DOUBLEPOST=1368752821][/DOUBLEPOST]

If it were a "private" pack ie a code one so as not to fill every ones launcher, but the code was public, I think that counts as public distributed via ftb, and will open a lot of things.

I'm finally home and able to look up the versions that I'm using. Most of them are the versions from KirinDave's list. A few of them are newer, because I either already had the newer version downloaded or because I had trouble finding the exact version Dave listed. Differences are here:

twilightforest-1.17.2.zip
UndergroundBiomes 1.5.1 - 0.3.4a.zip
As I mentioned this morning, Railcraft 7.1.0.0 introduced one additional ID conflict. It added:
Code:
I:block.slab=4095
to the block section. I changed it to:
Code:
I:block.slab=473
which seemed to work. Hopefully I didn't grab an ID that was being saved for future use. It looked like the next item in the Railcraft ID block Dave was using.

Edit: Shoot, forgot a couple things I meant to say.

I used the ModBot link that KirinDave posted elsewhere to find most of the versions: http://bot.notenoughmods.com/1.5.1.html

The link to the ExtraBees pre6, I found in this twitter search: https://twitter.com/search?q=Extra Bees Prerelease 6&src=typd The ExtaBees site says that pre7 is for Minecraft 1.5.2, so I'm assuming it didn't work because it depends on changes in the 1.5.2 forestry version (which is different than the 1.5.1 version).

Unfortunately Immibis never seems to get as much admiration, repeat or acknowledgment that he deserves.
Honestly, not having any avatar to associate him with makes him so difficult to imagine as being a person.

And dave, I presume that it's a picture of you in your channel. You're beard is a pretty epic beard and you managed to make it that it looks exactly in MC as IRL. It's amazing. stop working on mods and focus on beard grooming.

My beard cannot be tamed by mere surgical steel. And yeah, my wife made a skin for me and it uses the outer layer segment for my beard. It gives it simply lovely volume. ;)
