Mods with the best chance of success will fit the following guidelines:
1. Unique – Something not available in mods currently in a pack.​
2. Resource friendly – Low cpu/ram use compared to whats added. Mods that eat server resources will have a hard time getting in.​
3. Somewhat balanced: Dirt to diamonds will not be joining FTB.​
4. Updated regularly: mods that update only once in a blue moon with uncommunicative authors are unlikely to make it in.​
5. SMP compatible: and yes there are still mods that don't work in SMP.​


If a mod is incredibly cheaty, unfinished or just add more "collectables" it will not have a good chance of getting in.

Reason(s): Adds a very unique energy, liquid and RS signal piping system that can be camouflaged, in addition to MJ storage blocks that can form multiblocks, remote machine access and MJ solars among other things. Author is responsive and friendly.

Reason(s): Extremely unique energy system, good textures, author is a well-known forumer that is friends with Pahimar (mod has perms to use EE2 Red Matter textures), unique armor and tools....really, this mod just adds mechanics that haven't been seen anywhere else before and seems well-balanced.

Reason(s): Makes Minecraft harder (again) by making zombies (surprise) a lot more aware of you. They track you by scent, sound, and light, much like zombies (probably) would.

Reasons: You can travel through the solar system, explore new planets and moons, new mobs, dungeons, and much, much more. Seriously, this mod is awesome, and if you haven't heard of it, it's about you have, it has over a million downloads. It's open sourced, so anyone can use it in a modpack, and of course that's helpful.

Most machines can use MJ/EU as well.). Haven't you ever wanted to have a Moonbase, but The End just ain't good enough?​

I know this thread is only for 1.6.2, but the Mod Developper is already working on a 1.6.2 version, which will come "in a couple of weeks".
Reason(s): This mod adds various useful blocks that fall into completly different categories. For example an elevator, multiblock tanks that can be build in any shape or size, a guide block which helps building specific shapes...
It's open source, has no major bugs and the author is updating frequently.

Version : not updated to 1.6 yet... but it's being worked on.
Reason(s): some where in the range of almost 30 individual dungen templets from mage towers, castles, ravine strongholds, a variaty of pirage ships from a small fishing boat all the way up the masive flying pirate ship of the pirate king, island dungeons both at sea and in the sky, volcano dungeons, and much much much much more.

It also adds:

slime pool caverns full of slime and goop where slimes spawn in mass..

underground caves designed espeshaly for certen biomes, frozen ice caverns, jungle caverns full of mushrooms vines and life, parshaly flooded spawm caverns... and more.

reworked classic dungeons to be bigger and better

the ability to add improved cave systems, and set all caves to match there biomes (when able)

the ability to add nether like caverns at exstreem depths (like hight 1~15)

new mobs, bosses, and phat loot for fighting them.

AND EVERYTHING is customizable.... .everything... rather a dungon shows up or now, how often, how big they are, the range of hight they show up in, ect ect ect..... removing templates get rid of dungeons you don't want to see..... and you can make your own templates or use an editor to build a dungeon and have it add your own dungeons into the game where ever you want them.



all in all I see this mod as a must have, PLEASE add it to FTB unleashed... or all the FTB.. it's awsome!!!!
