That .. errr .. defines what I said.

Thanks for the reply. Just thought it were only Ultimate (and the other packs) which were not compatible with 0,7. So thought it was possible to upgrade from 0,6 to 0,7. But thanks for the answer :)

Ah, 11 hours ago. Well, that's why I didn't see it ;)

Yeah, it's potentially possible .. but it's a real arse to do. And that's on top of a supported system that we want to enable via the launcher.

A supported system? I'd like to here more about that. When you have the tome. In say a month or two. :D

But wait, when it was said this would replace Ultimate, does slow mean ultimate is getting removed, or not updated?

OK going to try this again. New pack due to go public tomorrow. Just need some art and a name for the pack. This pack will (cont)

replace Ultimate as our Feature pack. (Ultimate will remain on the launcher at 1.4.7 ) (thats better)

Yeah, the idea that a 1.4.7 pack will not exist because of 1.5.2 is .. well .. let's just say, unrealistic. It's there. It's done. Stick a fork in it.

1.5.2 will be as awesome as we and the mod authors can, and have, provided us.

And honestly, 1.6 is going to be yet another step up and beyond. And a bridge, we are yet to cross.

As a *gamer*, I'm excited. Because seriously, it just keeps getting better and better.

They've said that Ultimate and all 1.4.7 mods will be staying there on the launcher. The new pack will no longer be private (at least, that was my take on it) 'soon'

+9001. The 1.5.2 pack will shift from private to public (and supported) once everything settles. There is no movement to remove the 1.4.7 packs, as far as I know.

My response still answered the question. 1.4.7 mods will no longer be updated, and the new pack will replace Ultimate as the premier pack - when its been tested. But Ultimate will not be removed regardless.

Hmm, my understanding of it was different. Ultimate would not be updated beyond 1.4.7 until a stable 1.6 version was done, with the new unnamed pack being the main pack in the interim.

Either way though it's all good. ultimate 1.4.7 is good, proper 1.5.2 is good and something 1.6 is good :)

They changed it up suddenly.

They changed it up suddenly.

Define "changed it up".

From my view, the old vision was 1.4.7 packs were it and this was to remain until the undiscovered lands that it 1.6. This changed by *adding* in 1.5.2 packs, mainly due to the want of the public.

Key word here is, added.

1.4.7 packs will remain in 1.6 land, and 1.5.2 packs provides an additional option for people who want it.

One thing that has to be taken into consideration about the 1.4.7 packs, is that even when 1.6 is available, the Ultimate/DW20/etc packs can't be brought up-to-date until all the mods are updated, and I'm specifically talking about RedPower2.

If/when Eloraam finally gets around to updating it for 1.6, it could be months and months down the line, which is why no-one is discussing the future of these packs, only that they're not being removed for now, and people will continue to be able to play them.

I personally feel it's a bit too optimistic to expect these packs to be brought up to 1.6, considering how much will have changed between 1.4.7 and 1.6, and how many of the mods have changed.

How would one go about enabling the biome mods? Via the configs? I've only tinkered with ItemID fixes, so I'm not sure how to enable or disable via configs.
