not exactly using .8 but I'm using Gregtech 3.10 and the mixed metal ingot works fine, just made a whole bunch

I've made plenty in 0.8 wgt. Make sure you are using the plate recipes and not the rolling machine.

There is a button on the top that is on recommended. Change it to 0.8

Edit the link out of the quote. I've already reported it after checking the link on a very secure browser and it def looks scammy. The last step after liking the site and something else is to post that message on 3 other websites and then you'll "magically" get the key after their so claimed automated systems verify it.
