U have not big assembler chamber) only 14 interfaces, but u have cable with 32 channels.
In my constructions i make 4 towers with 8 intefaces and 8 assemblers in box 3x3x2. So i use all 32 channels.
I expand it as I need more interfaces. I just added another 4 on the top row. You may notice that I said "reasonably capable", as I knew if I said it was big, someone would come along playing Topper. ;)

Hi, here's my base in my current world: http://imgur.com/a/LhjFH#0

The first picture shows my main building in the center, with bee room and QED on the left and my smeltery plus AE autocrafters on the right.

The second and third images show my chargers and inscribers for crafting charged certus and processors. There are 32 chargers and 64 inscribers, of which half are for printed circuits and half are for finished processors. The crafting is managed my SFM and can be requested through my AE system.

The fourth image shows my QED, while the fifth and sixth ones show my smeltery and the (empty) room under it. The next two images show my industrial apiaries and bee machines and conversion monitors for accessing labware and samples. I have a subnet of an ae system that holds all my bees and bee liquids.

My draconic energy core is fourth tier and only has about 500 million of 9.88 billion RF stored. My main AE system access includes a crafting terminal for accessing things and crafting, pattern terminal for making patters, liquids terminal to access liquids, and interface terminal to blank patterns into my system. My main machines are all to the right of that, with machines from EnderIO, TE, Draconic Evolution, Mekanism, and Forestry so far. To the left of my AE system I have my stuff for Project E, Mystcraft, brewing potions, and an anvil for upgrading my dark steel armor and sword. I also set up my buildcraft lasers in table in the middle of the room because I had room.

My AE system includes deep storage units for basic things like cobble and a few chisel blocks like limestone. It also has a unifier to convert sulfur from machine-made TE sulfur to Railcraft sulfur gained in mining. My ore processing system used SAG Mills with dark steel balls and max capacitors to break down ores and then redstone furnaces at full speed to smelt the results. All items and liquids come through the tesseract into the interfaces to be stored. The tesseract for power draws from my draconic energy core.

My AE level has autocrafting with assemblers in the center of the room, the crafting units on one side, and liquids stored in bedrockium barrels. Left to right, I currently have water, lava, sludge, sewage, essence, milk, and oil, plus the liquids that are in my bee room.

My animal pens contain five each of sheep, pigs, and cows. All three pens have sewers to collect sewage, and the sheep and cow pens have ranchers to collect wool and milk, respectively.

The lowest current level in my base has my seven magmatic dynamos each upgraded twice to produce 320 rf/t. The power is sent through tesseract to be stored in my draconic energy core. The stirling generator isn't currently being used.

Finally, I have portals to my mining world, the nether, end, and last millenium. The last millenium contains my farms, of which there are currently only ones for sugar cane and oak trees. Both farms use fertilized dirt from Random Things so water is not needed and growth is faster.

So I started a new game last week, Karma, with a few hand picked mods I wanted in as well ( Mousetweaks and others I find invaluable ) I'm running the Invictus resource pack. It took a bit of getting used to but I think I rather like it now. It seems from the moment I spawned in this play through was all about one thing.

Shaft. (Damn Right!)

I spawned in at y135 which was pretty stinkin' cool. I knew I was going to roll with a wind farm and found a great little cul de sac to inhabit. Thing is... y135. (!!) I was going to have to make the mother of all mine shafts. It started with wooden scaffolding, but eventually I upgraded because I liked the look and I had a metric butt-load (tm) of iron to used by the time it was all said and done.

Making a mineshaft that deep I knew I was going to get tinkers rolling fast and especially Ars Magica for the wondrous dig spell and an aoe variant. To make that I had to learn the new rituals. That was pretty cool! The structures look fantastic as well.

In the process of digging the shaft and then branch mining I had gained so many levels from coal alone that I felt compelled to make a way to store exp. With 9 exp ore berry bushes I decided to rig a way of farming them. After trial and error I found a sweet method of turning them into storable (sic) exp. by way of a harvester and an autonomous activator.

I've only found 1 meteor. I very much dislike the current method for making ME systems. I always end up with a ginormous jabba and obsidian chest storage and sorting solution. And I hate it :/

I spent a few days in the nether and the theme for this play through reared it's ugly head again...

I had to dig the mother of all shafts to get UP to where I needed to be in the nether. I made a nice little base and even made a food farm while I was there. Finally, I created a platform for a lava extraction process. I'm in no real hurry for that though so it's just a bare space. I'm using 16 heat generators that are under a lava fall that was right at my spawn in. I plugged the holes, set the generators up then unplugged and wala, power. I made more than I needed so I wouldn't have to plug the hole again. Truth be told I died once in the first attempt :p

So.

I all but ruined my world planting one tree. 1 freaking ridiculous... unbelievable STUPID tree. I'm not gonna kid, I rage quit for a few hours and then went online to find out how to fix it. I'm not confident in messing with code and edits and all that mess. I would hate to bugger my game. So I whipped up a ghetto solution. I sure hope it works. But who knows at this point. It's very frustrating though. This base isn't much to look at but I learned a lot about several mods and I put a great deal of time into it so far.

Is that bigger?!? I mean, this behemoth is a solid 20 chunks at least. I think it's compounded by the fact it was planted at y 135.

Shaft!!! ily forever

Edit: so you're one of the people who used the magical rubber sapling? My condolences.
On the last server I played on I also found one, but before I used it I googled how big it would grow and decided to do that in the mining world :b

That sounds like a much better idea than blindly planting :)

Newbness is so unforgiving sometimes in Minecraft :D

So I became tired, frustrated, bored with trying to get Treezilla under wraps. I started a new world on DW201.7 . No pics yet as I'm at work now ( <.< >.> .... ö¿ö shhhhh!! >.< ) I'll put em up tonight. I took pics of the very early process to provide info in two threads I visited recently. One about start up routines, and one about infinite charcoal. By day 3 I had all that rolling pretty good. My world gen was fantastic this time out.

I think I've officially got ADHD builditis. My daughter and I are right at the 200 day mark and I have FINALLY got an ME system up and running. It was both easier and much harder than I anticipated. I feel quite proud about finally graduating from the Jabba barrel hell I seem to put myself in :) I just need to practice building the ME system a bit more to learn where I can streamline and make the build less complicated. I put in a 2nd ME system at my daughters house ( I call it the Pizza Hut... I think it'll be obvious why :D )

Since starting the new world gen after my Tree disaster it's been pretty great. I am pretty quick at getting my starter base rolling and getting a tree farm power source running. I made a laser assembly table as it was needed for some of the things I had to build. Then it turns out I DIDN'T need it, but it's still kinda cool , if not a power hungry biotch.

17957603821_dd3df1c86b_b.jpg

It took quite a while but I finally got the fertility lilys made. It's a tedious process I don't enjoy honestly, but it makes my upgraded steam dynamos viable.
17930489976_7163e8f94a_b.jpg

My magic area is pretty standardized for me too. I have a layout I like. I tend to make things compact and functionally ergonomic. This becomes clearer inside my bases. I like things close at hand. Especially when I'm making machines or learning a new mod. I don't like to move all around to make things. Getting it compact and quick just suits my play style. Eventually I want to learn how to automate via ME. I've looked at some of the things I need to make, but I'm a bit intimidated honestly. Also a bit burned out if I'm honest too.

I've yet to tear down the Jabba walls. Not even sure I will at this point.
17956801805_00d9ac50a8_b.jpg

I want to make the 64k drives but for now the baby ones are doing ok. I didn't know how many I would need so went with a symmetrical layout and filled them. Took most of a day to build the drives as I'm not that quick at it yet.
17336319163_e92686caa7_b.jpg

The assembly table took me a bit to figure out how to use. This is the first successful use of it on my server.

My daughter was wanting to build a proper home. I've not really built a proper house so we decided on a basic structure just to get our first one out of the way. I'm certain it looks like any other newbs first real home that isn't a glorified hobbit hole. In the end I kept the starter base as I like the layout for proper building. She has a pretty sweet place now too as you'll see. She spent her entire time building solar generators. It took her a week of real time (6 days actually). I don't have that kind of patience :D And really, it seemed like over kill, but it's her pad she can do what she wants hah!

I used the stuff I replaced in the starter base in her basement with 2 furnace generators. She didn't like having to feed them and so made the solar solution. I made all the machines at my base including the energy cells as she doesn't have a way to get ender pearls yet. I have 4 seeds and have made a mini mob farm in a cave system where I get all the bones and pearls I could want. I used a system I saw on a Skyblock lets play. Works like a charm. I think Bacondonut was the one I watched. At any rate it's how I got 99% of the ender pearls I needed.

To me, this is just silly times about a bajillion. Only works in the day, and only if it's not raining. Not my ideal set up but she digs it so there ya go.

She's 13 and has a real ability to focus on a job and see it through. While the solar isn't my thing I was rather impressed with what she did. Her decorating is nice too. I guess it's a girl thang :D Maybe I'll have her spiff up my place :D

Love the amount of detail that your daughter have put into that house. Sure having access to pre-made decorational blocks helps a LOT, but they are very well placed with a lot of thought. Looks really really nice and would love to see her build something bigger more complex :p

Got to second @rhn on this one - she's done some amazing work there! :) She's 13, and can design houses far better than me, that's for sure! :D
