My policy is to only bring up fandoms when relevant. We were talking about pointy wooden sticks, and Rose Lalonde is the first thing to come to mind when trying to think of a chopstick-wielding BAMF.
people need too learn to keep it in their pants. Just because you are a fan of something doesn't mean you can flash it wherever you want without provocation.
Except sometimes I wish my friends would do that just once around me, so that I don't feel stupid about not knowing that they liked X thing I liked, that we could have talked about for Y amount of time before the revelation of being in certain fandoms.
