Is GregTech just going to keep getting harder?

You also need dragon eggs to make sticks and your fist won't break wood anymore so you will have to use a bionic arm upgrade which requires 9 nether stars to craft but first you need the iridium based crafting table to make it which requires you to have a bionic pick upgrade for your arm which requires a dragon egg pick and the list goes on.
You should require a dragon egg or a plank of sengir to post a new GT this or GT that topic, btw humor is subjective, in other words often just not that funny.
Crafting tables are OP as they are. All they take is 4 planks and you can craft entire boats, minecarts and locomotives on them. That has to be some pretty durable wood.
It is about time Greg swung his nerfhammer towards their direction.

That's what AE is for.No. Just more tedious.
AE is a goal to work towards, and pays off as you use it.
GT is added "difficulty" which really makes half of IC2 pointless to make, and you'd have more fun without a macerator.
As for the topic, yes. Gregtech is going to keep getting harder and harder. You know why? Because the mod author is arrogant and believes he's fixing stuff. He's the epitome of the common MinecraftForum modder, except supercharged. Nobody's going to convince him otherwise, and server owners can't seem to see that they don't actually need it. The attitude of the author and the community will keep it alive. Don't feel like using it? THEN MAN UP, YOU'RE NOT A TRUE MINECRAFTER.
btw I found mfr/dc/ae far more fun & interesting than gt, & by that I mean finding ways to make mods work hand in hand, like forestry farm with force trees

The truth is that plenty of people like Gregtech and the direction it's going. The truth is that plenty of people don't like Gregtech and the direction it's going. Greg will likely keep nerfing things and adding upgraded versions of the things he nerfs.
No one needs Gregtech, but quite a few seem to have a ton of fun with it.
I'm going to start off and say that I like GregTech. I use it a lot now that it's grown on me. I like the added challenge, because without it I hit end game way too quickly. I'm fine if he edits IC2 and Advanced Machines, Advanced Solar Panels, whatever. That's IC2. It's in his department, and it was added to Ultimate and Mindcrack for a reason. Here's my issue, it's when he starts changing other mods. Quarries requiring IC2 Diamond Drill is ridiculous, especially with GT installed Diamond Drills are quite a bit more expensive. Here is a list of non-IC2 things he either nerfs or edits:
Duplicated Dragon Eggs, this sucks for servers if everyone wants an egg.
Enchantment Table Disable, this is not true by default, but is an addition that shouldn't have even been thought of.
Forestry Bronze, Forestry bronze can be crafted I think with the ratio dust:bronze 4:4, he makes it so that it is 4:2, which is ridiculous as it requires 4 dust to make bronze.
RedPower Block Breakers, I don't even understand why this is in the Config. What is so OP about a damn block breaker? What if CC isn't in the pack, you can't make block breaker farms. It is false by default, but still possible to nerf.
TE Recipe Hack, I don't know what this is, but it still interferes with Thermal Expansion, which is not IC2 related in anyway, and the difference has cause many flame wars.
(all of the above are considered features. No, those are not features, those are possible nerfs.)
I am okay with Greg using other mods items to make his mods items. That is fine with me, and is often cheaper and UP.
BC Quarry, requires a Diamond Drill instead of a Diamond Pickaxe. Ridiculous.
Now, I know this is IC2, but I wouldn't have an issue if the Quarry recipe wasn't stupid: Diamond Drill, requires steel, titanium, and an advanced circuit.

You'll need to perform either a blood or a virginal sacrifice to discover the Macerator recipe: 8 nether stars around a furnace. Did I mention that, to make one stack of cobble (the only one you'll have unless you have the Rock Smasher - which is a Nether Star Drill combined with a battery, and a Nether Star Drill is a Galgardorian Drill with a Dragon Egg added) you'll need 4 Nether Star Dust around a Dragon Egg?
Also wood requires smoothstone axe to break, which can only be obtained by using wood for a crafting table.
