Not RP2. RP2's one of the best mods I've ever encountered, and I plan to never play without it. Unless it never ever ever ever ever ever ever updates. Then I might have a bit of a grudge against Eloraam. But it's still bloody superb. Period.

Personally? Forge. Then all the modders would have to code their mods for modloader. *Insert Flowerchild trollface here*

RP2 cause lack of communication and release delays.
Obsidian plates because Thaumcraft.
Portal Gun because it discourages creating transportation systems (mystcraft would go here to, except that it adds new worlds, portal gun just offers portals).
Flat bedrock, the varied bedrock eats up a lot of ore space that is given to new ores when made flat.
Petrogen because greg.
Xeno's reliquary simply because all it adds is a bunch of 'nifty' gadgets, nothing really game changing or that will effect the way things are built.

Any one or all of them I could live without.

Xycraft for the shitty way it's crystals screw with the world. I don't care how cool the rest of the mod is, the way the crystals were implemented is shameful.

judging by this logic, you should also remove ic2 and power armor, because flying also discourages transportation systems creation

No, it's just that you need no regard for the Intermediate Value Theorem if you can teleport.

(And it's not Power Armour, it's Modular Powersuits.)

No you still have to actually move through the world and spend resources to do so (you have to charge those suits). With portal gun, once you find one in a dungeon or create one, you set one portal at home and just fire off into the distance and step through. It's the instant travel I have a problem with, as I noted in the side part with mystcraft. I'd have issues with it's portal system and linking books as well, except that it also adds the ability to generate new worlds which I think makes it worth it. Portal gun does nothing other than offer instantaneous travel for a trivial cost (8 portals per ender pearl if you even turn that on).

Given the massive bugs, server crashes, chunk destruction, dupe1, dupe2, dupe3, and pervasive lag, calling RP2 "superb" is nothing but fanboy blindness.

Okay, I'll admit it's very possible it's fanboy blindness. But I'm still unable to get over the pneumatic tubing.

(And yes, it's buggy. I know it's buggy.)

You can like the mod without calling it absurd things like "superb". Such labels only cause questions about your rationality.

Eh, the teleporter requires some decent power investment, and I've never really bothered to get too far into MPS, lol.
its arguable. for me, its easier to setup a power grid than spawn a wither.
and portal spawners are a transport system :)

infinitubes bro, infinitubes.

and again: ic2 teleporter, and Modular Powersuits blink drive
The mps blink drive isn't that great, works like a straight line thrown ender pearl. Can't even arc the damn things, so getting on "top" of something can be difficult. Also, still not equal to the portal gun in terms of effect. I like the portal gun but it can in no way be compared to the blink drive.

That requires no infrastructure. Like I said, plop one down and it'll work forever.
since infrastructure usually build not solely for teleporters, so its arguable. and dont forget nether star requirements for portals

Either way one must build that infrastructure for either IC2 teleporters or MPS to work, infrastructure that is not needed with portal gun. While the nether star is a higher requirement to build them, you only need to do it once, not only that but you can also find them in dungeons so you don't even technically have to build one. The only thing you need to keep portal gun going is to kill endermen, and there's even a config to turn that (and the nether star) requirement off.

yeah, its not similar, but quite close. however, blink drive cant be disrupted by other player with blink drive
