since infrastructure usually build not solely for teleporters, so its arguable. and dont forget nether star requirements for portals

I literally have five (four unique) without crafting a single one. (Not that netherstars are difficult with TF)

I think he may be referring to the uncrafting table and super charged gravity guns issue, where you, for example, have a backpack full of normal gravity guns, make a TF portal and throw the diamond in, and all of your grav guns are now super charged, then find a uncrafting table and you have a lot of wither stars.(35 if you have a full inventory of Grav Guns, and one diamond)

I'd either remove Twilight Forest or Redpower 2.

TF is awesome, but it's just more variety on the same content that you find in vanilla Minecraft, which is the type of mod the FTB folks said they would not want to add. The only exception are the blocks found in the towers. And the rest of the stuff it adds is problematic because while it all seems to work fine, it doesn't work with other mods (like, at all) so it seems ill-fitting for a mod pack. But, it's also an ignorable mod that doesn't change anything at all in the game unless you throw a diamond into water, so it's hard to have a problem with it.

RP2 because we'd have an updated modpack if it weren't for that still being version 2. If/when RP3 gets done, I probably wouldn't have a problem with it, but let's just be honest and accept that it might never happen.

Is that a valid reason?(for you might be)RP2 is a great mod and I don't see any reason to do not have it when there is a version of it (1.4.7)

Well yes, but there's still the fact that Eloraam kind of has a communication problem. I don't think that it should be holding the ultimate pack back when she can't say "My mod is such and such percent done, don't worry." and then say what bugs there are. There should be a beta version of the pack released without the updated redpower so that people can enjoy the pack. Then a more stable version with redpower could be released once it's updated so that people could enjoy their previous worlds.

I think the problem definately is less than lack of time or work, which people don't et so upset about, but lack of communication - if she just tweeted occasionally telling us that she's not dead, perhaps we might have less of a barrier between us, as is, she communicates so infrequently that everything she DoES say Is analysed at great detail, and thought over hard.

If she would let someone to help work on Redpower, not to add mew content, just to update to new MC versions, and to perhaps bugfix (canvas bag *shudders*), perhaps someone such as chickenbones, Dan200 temporarily for bundled Cable intergration, whom she has worked with before, Immibis who has worked on things like the Retrieveulator which I uses the finer points of RP code to detail. Or team CoFH/KL, for efficient, understandable code. Machinemuse might be able it make a personal connection somehow and that may make work easier if she did it... Power crystals has that rednet thing of his win going, so he knows how to work that kind of multi-thread redstone. So many possible people to help...

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the canvas bag?

Btw, everyone keeps saying that most features of RP exist in other mods also, but is there another mod that adds bags for additional inventory space? Forestry backpacks don't count, as they can only store specific items.

The backpacks mod for one, which happens to use leather, which is soften a valuable commodity for me :/
It's updated to 1.5 and everything.

The canvas bag has a horrible dupe bug, that is incredibly easy to pull off, works on anything except OTHER canvas bags, and Is problematic because suggesting alternate, more expensive storage than a stack of string tends to be met with outrage - 4 blaze powder, leather, an ender pearl and a chest for a canvas bag that won't eat my stuff if I die? No - that's WAY too expensive :/[DOUBLEPOST=1368751151][/DOUBLEPOST]However, we do NOT want this to turn into a RP2 flame thread.

Therefore I would remove PetroGen, as GregTech has a deisel generator that's more efficient, and cheaper.
It's completely obselete. Gregs generator can also run off biofuel ethanol, akin to forestrys own generator.

If you consider buildcraft t1, then honestly you haven't ever used gates.

But that would be a discussion for a different thread as it would move this off topic and I fear the hand of Jaded coming.

I do partially agree with the removal of rp2, only because of eloraam's rl schedule holding it back (no disrespect ment to elo.) Or maybe a second ultimate pack without rp2.

This is the one thing I keep suggesting and every time I get flamed. It's a very divisive mod and in the same boat as GT in that aspect. I personally think GT should be default on easy and a toggle in the launcher if you want hard configs. But it sounds like in Aug when 1.6 is prob ready they are going to add a toggle to choose the easy/hard GT configs. They could do another pack, or add another toggle for RP/alternatives. It's a little more work to maintain an additional pack or mods, but they are looking to add more anyway so it probably isn't much.

I guess which mod I would remove would depend on the why. I don't play on a server so Secret Rooms is useless to me, but I can see why others would want it. Xeno's Reliquary (sp?) seems silly and don't/won't use it, but it's not in my face so it can easily be ignored. If I were to take something out as OP then Gravity/Portal Gun.Everything in the pack is ok by me though as I just ignore the stuff I don't want.

However I must say I'm not a fan of the new Mystcraft book writing thing and it's taken a beating in my eyes because of that. Galacticraft and Minechem look interesting and sounds like they might be on the add list in the not to distant future. But that as they say is just my opinion, man.

I used secret room doors when I played ssp for a bit turns out zombies don't break those doors just a fun fact I found out

Personally, I'd remove Minecraft Forge from the mods list. It connects to many of the mods that it hurts my head.

I'm suprised however that FTB aren't pro-compact solars over advanced solars, due to their relationship with CPW, and non with sentinel, modded that are part of the "in" crowd tend to be picked.
