Not if said recipes require crafting components that can be only produced by other machines. Then you are turning something into a production chain involving multiple machines requiring a bigger initial investment and power generation that can support all those machines.It's not about recipes. It's about simplicity to set up. Recipes are irrelevant.
One of my server players has told me that my MPS recipes are evil, purely because many of the recipes need machine processed ingredients, instead of just something you've just dug out of the ground and slap into a 3x3 pattern. I took that as a compliment, since my goal was for MPS to be "end game"/"high-tier" armour (using those terms loosely) within the pack.
