Fed up with the Filler

I have tried everything I can think of, but the filler isnt working for me.

I'm trying to fill in a piece of land.

I'm trying to use the Flatten config,

I have tried using it one block above the spot where it is now.

I tried putting a marker a block below its marked area to make a 3d work space.

I have cleared the land of everything, including grass.

I'm sure I have it in the right config. Three glass and three brick. I cant get it to register.

Sometimes this filler works for me. Others its so temperamental I can't stand it.

I wish I could go into the game and drop kick it.

I know I'm probably doing something wrong.

What do you think is going on here?

The red top denotes that it isn't configured correctly, as in does not have a job to do. But try powering it, and also give us a pick of the interface.

Yeah, I had given it power. Every time. But for the picture I just wanted to show my setup.

Your glass/brick pattern is correct for the "flatten" function, but there should be an icon in the slot to the right. I'm not sure why there isn't. Are you using double-brick-slabs by mistake instead of regular bricks? Since you appear to be in creative mode, this would be an easy mistake to make...

You could try energy conduits. And what does the filler's GUI look like right now?

Do BC conductive pipes even work with RECs? I think you need redstone conduit, or better still, just put one REC next to the filler itself. It'll hardly use any power to fill in that single level anyway.

energy cell right next to the filler works fine, ditch those conductive pipes

Flatten leaves the very last layer of dirt at the bottom. Try all glass.

He doesn't need to be using pipes at all. Just put one energy cube next to the filler.

If your server has MCPC+ or a protection mod it's likely to be stopping the filler from placing blocks.
