Energized Glowstone = BestLighting

I also have a long stairway with an extra-high ceiling with energized glowstone flowing all the way up from the bottom. This also gives nifty lighting (though visibility is terrible if you don't have the extra high ceiling since you can't see down through the flow well) and you get the speed boost all the way so you can race up and down the stairs real fast like speed of sound.

Ooooh... that give me an idea.... Groves in the ceiling. The liquid glowstone show flow up a channel as easy as water flows down. making stairs look pimp.

Another discovery: destabilized redstone is perfect for dealing with nether lava because you can breath in it!

Destabilized redstone? Do all of these liquids have weird names?

And here's my epic bedroom:

I had to move the source block so it wasn't above the bed.
I'm guessing that's why it said the bed was obstructed and dumped me half a kilometer away when I died, 3 times.

By the way this is all on the Resonant Rise Server

Okay I think the problem was the lack of side-space so I've redesigned.

The only difference is the 2 new block and some panel shifted around.

i have no access atm to 1.5.1 stuff, and i couldnt find much info about this new features on the TE site.

Could some1 point me to some source of information to understand why theres shiny water on the ceiling?

Basically, if you put glowstone into a magma crucible, you get this energised glowstone stuff back out. It flows upwards (as opposed to all other liquids that float down), glows, gives you a speed/jump boost when you're in it, and it just generally looks awesome.
The shiny water is liquid glowstone.

Yeah, sorry, i did gather that much, but i also read about its source block moving, and eventually solidifying? That would make it useless for permanent illumination right?

Is there a use for it besides decoration?

Well, if you trap the source block properly, it won't move away. But yeah, it does solidify once it floats up to around 120.
And apart from putting into a glowstone illuminator (which are just damn cool, by the way), they don't have much use, no. But they're awesome-looking!

I see Immibis's liquid XP mod in play in combo with PowerCrystal's stuff.

That's awesome. Immibis's mods do not get enough play around here. LiquidXP is a really neat implementation of a very solid mechanic.

Does it always harden above Y 120? That would be unfortunate for sky bases. Perfectly fine for vast underground citys (illumiducts through the ceiling for it to flow through), but... :/

If it does, that's no problem. You just need a bit of ingenuity to break the glowstone and bring it back down to the bottom of the light flow. If anything, it'll be more awesome that way.
