Silly question, does it eventually harden?
(yeah, that's what she said)
Actually the source blocks do harden if they float up high enough. The "flow" blocks do not, however.
It has been suggested before, to justify glowstone flowing upward, that glowstone is actually lighter than air and when heated it flows upward and condenses on the ceiling of the Nether as it cools. It would be interesting to make it work like a water source block. When heated, it turns to liquid glowstone and flows up, and when allowed to cool it turns into a glowstone block again (all flow outside of the source block itself disappears just like when ice forms). The only difference is that the source block itself moves if you allow it to.Nope. That would be OP. If every single glowstone liquid block hardened, you would get 256x your original input. You would need but one single Glowstone Block. Scratch my original sentence. There would be 5 upstreams, so it would be ~1280 Glowstone blocks per one Glowstone. And if you needed more than one Glowstone block to melt, you would still get profit.
I wish someone would implement a way to access tv from alternate universes. (*waits for someone to say it's already been done*)

Dave spoke to you, right?Yes I believe you commented on this before. I look forward to adding glowstone columns to my builds using captured source blocks.
Just have to remember to be careful if I build a skybase.

Me no... but he responded to another thread a few weeks back about that. I belvie it was the ladders thread.
If the topic was, "Come play with us on RR and you too can make your skybase out of glowstone" then yes, that was said.
The liquid glowstone is cool and people haven't really even tapped its uses (it can do some really spiffy automation stuff I'm not sure even KingLemming fully appreciates yet?) but the lamps you can make with it are totally awesome when combined with MFR RedNet. You can make very cool variable-lightlevel-output indicators. It nearly blew my mind.
Don't forget using Liquid Void blocks from XYcrafty to make cool looking sorter light pillars. oooh Does the XYcraft ice block effect it?
If stuff floats up within the column I can see a few good uses for it with automation.
Wait, what are these? Any info I can find on these?Everything about the new CoFH stuff in 1.5.1 has been amazing so far. It even has an autocrafting table with that amazing automatic output now! And it makes things as fast as Soaryn's Fabricators!
