I've heard stories of Ender IO items and machines producing lag when in a pack.

That being said, I've noticed a bit of lag in my most recent world and my main cables just happen to be the conduits.

Crazypants has done a ton of work on performance of the conduit bundles, however having said that shoving 5 down every block is bound to take it's toll on the server resources, that's a ton of computations per block.

AE systems are actually the least laggiest of them all, provided you don't go nuts with level emitters.

Sorry but opis dosent agree with you ;) It creates more lag then any RoC/ReC machine I have, for a very small system

So, here's a picture of my base, I also have a 200x200 quarry going to the far left with a loader.
The farms are 3 levels of 4 farms per level. They are MFR farms with magical crops.

My PC is borderline on performance for Monster, I rapidly found that using enderIO conduits for everything is much MUCH healthier for framerate than things like TE energy conduits and itemducts.

I've even started ditching ME cables for enderIO me conduits throughout my bases, although that's more for the sake of wiring tidiness. If there is any performance difference between bundled ME conduits and covered ME cables, it's not really noticeable at the scale I use them.

So, what you're saying is me re-doing everything with redstone energy conduits from ender IO conduits was counterproductive?

Basically. The EnderIO conduits appear to have less of a performance impact than the TE3 conduits.

Mob traps , animal farmsand dynamism tablets will eat your tick rate. MFR harvesters, Clear item ducts/pipes, pumping lava and anything that changes light levels, sprinklers and things with lotsa particles will eat your fps

He seems to be talking about lag, not fps problem

Your best bet is to get opis and check it out by yourself :p

To find out what's happening, use OPIS.
I have EIO in my custom pack and my TPS and my FPS are pretty high. So, no to the question in the OP.

So, what about the entities?
When I have normal render distance turned on, I float around 4.4k entities.
Is this normal or rather on the high side?
