I have a small question. Will adding the basic plating+advanced plating+energy shield increase armor? Is the energy shield the highest you can go?

It may surprise you to discover that I'm not interested in hearing about 'bugs' for a version that is almost a month old when I am updating several times per week.

Well sorry for mentioning it then. Firstly, DW20 5.2 is the most recent pack and that is the most recent version of your mod that I have. I did not see the bug already reported so I thought I'd mention it. A simple "thanks, however I'm already aware of it and it will be fixed for the next version" would have sufficed...

I just want to say that this is now my all-time favorite mod (above thaumcraft and RP2 gasp). I really can't wait until the 1.5 version of the FTB ultimate pack comes out so i can get at this new MPS with all the other mods in the pack. THe only really annoying thing is that shift-scrollwheel is autobound to the multitool's module switch, but when I'm pillaring over lava lakes (already mentioned, just adding on), it's really inconvenient

Why are you pillaring when you have a jetpack?

Also, I swim regularly in lava when hunting ghasts. It's good for your complexion.

Another few random thoughts. Some HUD upgrades for the helmet, maybe a radar, or a light-level detector... Could be helpful when you've got Night Vision on. Compass maybe? Or an improved graphical display for the power you've got left, maybe a bar of some kind... Or a sort of person-shape with each section representing the power in each piece...

Maybe a sort of HUD overlay like what the pumpkin does, a sort of 'inside view' from the helmet... give a sort of visual 'in a powersuit' feel... Make all this toggleable at the table probably, since some people wouldn't like certain parts of it, but y'know.

Any of this sound appealing in any way?

The light level detector might be a bit redundant though since there's a mob spawn overlay option with NEI that's shows a red grid over blocks that enemies can spawn on top of due to light level.

Yeah...I know...it was probably foolish of me to update so soon...

Eh, I wouldn't say so. IC2 is in Alpha, as I understand it, and UE has almost completely updated to 1.5.1, meaning those that want can manually update to 1.5.1 already to test out the changes. I know I plan to, just as soon as I get over this nasty cough.

Just read the TODO, and seeing "Environmental (better cooling in tundra than desert?)" made me think...

Why not do so when Forestry is there, hooking into the API (or whatever) to get the current biome temperature and humidity ratings?

I mean, sure, it would not be available to those that play only your mod, but it would require less time to implement, as you would already have values for all biomes, and you could put a module on your head gear to read those data, helping both for your mod and for those interested in bees.

That sounds like a very interesting thing to me, at least.

Actually, local environmental analysis would be a huge boon to beekeepers that are not toting 100mj+ setups like they're no real deal.

Having it determine temp by way of the API for forestry would be a lovely balance correction.

If the nether was simply a worse place to fly, because of heat... unless you spent more on some advanced parts. I love the idea.

And if you can have the helm display the forestry temprature, well... that goes on the beekeeping preset.

That sounds like a really good idea, actually. I haven't toyed with Forestry much but if it has an API for this sort of thing then it's probably a good start. I wouldn't want to rely on it forever, but it would make for a good initial venture and a nice bit of inter-mod compatability.

I guess most of you aren't going to be using it because your maps are dense with Redpower, but if anyone wants to try it with 1.5.1...

Version 0.4.1-292 is now recommended!

New modules:
-Shears (to be replaced by projectile blade launcher eventually) - longer range than normal shears (10m!)
-Rototiller - till a circle up to an 8m radius, all at once!
-Airtight Seals - allows the helmet to act as a Galacticraft oxygen mask. Air tanks sold separately.

New functionality on old modules:
-Limited treecapitator emulation on woodcutting module
-Flight control now responds to 'sneak' and has a tinker option, 'verticality', which controls how much your view angle contributes to the direction of movement (can be more like creative flight if you want)

New configuration options:
-Mode-switching and flight control 'go down' now have Forge keybinds
-Mousewheel mode-switching can be turned off in config file
-Max. flight speed can be capped so people don't load chunks too fast and bog down the server.

Other tweaks:
-Using items while climbing a ladder or swimming should no longer paradoxically give you a speed boost
-Player input updates now only send on changes - should save on bandwidth for high-population servers with many idle
-Plasma bolt rendering improved - better lightning effect and should no longer appear as a flat panel in another player's hand
-IC2 for 1.5.1 should now be supported. **UNTESTED**
-All items in your inventory (batteries included) should now count towards your energy & weight total - no more need to install batteries in the power tool
-Fixed a couple crash cases (removing items while flying, shooting entities beyond 64 blocks with railgun)
