Offshore Accounts

Final details are now available.

Players who wish to make deposits will be required to do two things. Supply a list of those things you wish to deposit by PM sent to me. Then Meet me in-game to turn over those things.

There will be a limit of 25 slots. No containers, such as sacks will be allowed. Materials will be allowed in stacks, up to the highest number they will stack, be it 64 or 16.
Armor, weapons, and tools will be limited to one per slot.

Note, please provide as much material as you can for fees, taxes, and bribes. Clayman Island customs officials are notoriously corrupt. Stacks of valuables such as diamonds rubies emeralds and gold, beyond what you may wish to deposit are requested. Although they cannot be returned, they will help a great deal in the success of this venture.

I love where this is going Dan. Best of both worlds I say. I rescind my previous complaints. The way you are handling this transition is VERY well done. I bow to the wisdom of Dan and anyone else who contributed to this idea. I may even make a deposit for a rainy day and I'll definetly make a "contribution" to cover any fees of mine and my fellow Dogs' items.

Baker, I've started conversations with everyone who showed an interest in an Offshore Account, we'll handle the details of what's being deposited, and where to bring the stuff, away from the forum.

Heh, I could do that if people wanted. I'd remove the player habitations and make it a pure mine. You know, if the Powers agree to it lol. Also, have to give credit to the GodsCraft server for their work.

Announcement

Thanks to the planned reset of our worldmap the activity on our server has dropped drastically. Understandably most players don't like the thought of building something to have it snatched away in the not too distant future.

It has therefore been decided to switch to the Terrafirmacraft(TFC) mod until FTB for Minecraft 1.5 has stabilized.

The switch will take place in 24 hours after this post, so use this time to snatch a few last screenshots or make your deposit at "docking bay six".
Should you find yourself unable to get your things settled before the deadline feel free to contact me via PM so we can work out a solution.

Information about this mod can be found at http://terrafirmacraft.com/ or in the Minecraft forum post of the mod.
The mod is not currently part of any FTB pack, meaning its installation is a bit more involved, as BTW was. But fear not, Dochussey has composed an installer with a good readme that will get you online within minutes. You will find more info on that posted on G+.
For those who can't access G+, again, contact via PM please.

We have chosen TFC for the interim because it means a break from FTB's "automate everything" mentality, focusing on the survival aspect of Minecraft. In many a sense TFC is a new game in and of itself, rewarding cooperation between players very directly.

There will be a limit of 25 slots. No containers, such as sacks will be allowed. Materials will be allowed in stacks, up to the highest number they will stack, be it 64 or 16.

Material that can be converted into blocks will be allowed in stacks of 64 blocks.

Thanks to very generous "slush fund" donations we not only have a very reliable freight cargo ship but an armed escort to provide protection in the travel through inter-dimensional phase-shift space-time which will probably include the Kessel Run.

I am just really impressed by the thought and care you guys are putting into this transition. It sounds like we're going to have a lot of fun in the future. I've been having trouble making time to get on the server for a few weeks now, so this probably won't surprise anyone, but I'm going to take this opportunity to take a bit of a break from minecraft and focus on some other things for a bit. I will keep up with this thread and watch for when the restart to new Mindcrack or Ultimate pack or whatever happens next, but I don't really have any interest in TerraFirmaCraft. I have also decided to simply start from scratch in the new world. Please feel free to ransack my base if you need extra machines or resources for the transition (or bribes for the Powers that Be), though I'm not really that advanced. I look forward to the next iteration of our map!

I guess it is a little late to recommend switching to Ultimate but disabling dimensional travel using "allow-nether" set to false for Nether and Mystcraft. Twilight Forest has a new setting to disable making those portals. The End will require a mod to find the three end portals and removing a block for now.
Mystcraft also has settings to disable crafting its items, so disabling those would turn it off from players.
