Wow Industrial Craft wiki is the worst pile of crap Ive ever seen. It is littered with links to blank pages and one main page that tries to stuff EVEYTHING EVER WRITTEN BY MANKIND. Probably in hopes the community would fill it all in for them.
Tekkit wiki is quite good on the other hand. FTB wiki could do with some of their layout.

These are all nice guards and all, but no matter how much I try I can't find a guide good enough to make me understand red stone let alone the heavier tech mods in ftb
Your second link ("wiki2") is the official one. The first link ("wiki") is terrabad or whatever you call it, go and have a look. The official one has always been maintained directly by the mod author so I don't know what popularity would have to do with it.
if anyone wants to write a detailed guide for writing mystcraft ages I will read the sh*t out of it
